Or would you even consider Sidney Jones at all?

He's most likely not going to play this year but what a value he could be if he returns healthy.

I'm tired of drafting injured players but if Sidney Jones is there for us in the 3rd round I think he would be my pick.

3rd round IF I feel we nailed our 1st and 2nd round pick. Also, depends on who else is avail in 3rd. This is a deep defensive draft.

4th round becomes a no-brainer.

I think if we do some type of trade back to someone like the Browns and we fall out of the 1st and get another 3rd or so, then by our 3rd rd pick they pull the trigger on this...if we don't acquire more picks, then I would use anything before our 4th rd pick

That's a really tough question. I think the key word is IF he comes back healthy. I was listening to a podcast that made some really good points in that he was never really a special physical talent to begin with. If he loses a half a step, that could be devastating to his future outlook. Add to that the type of injury that he's suffered is at the cornerback position, a position that requires you to run, plant and cut, it's a real reason for concern. If we didn't need so many bodies in the defensive backfield and if this wasn't such a strong corners class, I'd say the third, but neither being the case I may not consider him until the 4th.

6th. They can't afford a red shirt before that....maybe at all.

We've taken enough chances the last couple of years. I'd say no.

We can afford to take him in the 3rd. A 3rd round rookie CB isn't going to make or break this season as much as us fans want production right away.

I wouldnt,we cant afford to take injured players and Jerry has said as much.I wish he would follow this rule in every draft.Drafting Jaylon may have cost us a playoff win.

Interesting take here:

Baltimore Ravens assistant GM Eric DeCosta indicated that he does not believe Washington CB Sidney Jones' torn Achilles will cause a significant draft slide.

"There have been players that have gone very high in the first round with injuries like that. Sometimes they fall a little bit, but he is a really good player, and I don't think it is going to affect him that much," DeCosta said. Jones was considered close to a lock first-rounder before tearing his Achilles during pro day positional drills in mid-March. Several analysts, including NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah and Draftwire's Luke Easterling, believe that the 6-foot, 180-pounder could potentially go undrafted until Day 3 due to the injury concern, though DeCosta certainly does not seem to subscribe to that logic.

I'd take him in the 3rd but he probably won't even last that long

I have too many memories of Kevin Smith post-Achilles tear to want to take a chance here.

I don't believe any info coaches and front office types give out freely this time of year.
