So I'm eating dinner with my wife and my 2 year old daughter Molly and I told her that Tony Romo was the Quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, Wade Phillips was the Coach and Jerry Jones was the Owner. So then I asked her who's the Quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys and she replied "Tony Romo" and then I asked her who's the Coach and she replied "Mommy" and then I asker her who's the Owner and she replied "Daddy" :laugh2:

My daughter LOVES the Cowboys!! Anytime she sees me wearing my Cowboys gear she yells out "Go Cowboys"! She even has a little Cowboys jersey that she wears during the games and she always says "jersey on" haha. Hey you have to start them out young ;)

Reading these brings back good memories from when my boys were young.

I have been a fan since the late 60's, and so both of my boys were raised on the Cowboys.

They are 32 yrs old (posts on this message board) and 26, and are both huge Cowboy fans. As is my wife of 35 yrs.

My oldest had a year or two that he liked Elway in the late 80's, (I could hardly blame him during those lean years :D ).. but the success of the 90's locked both of them in as life-long Cowboy fans.

Just an example as to how prevelant the NFL was in our household while they were growing up, .. when my oldest was 9 and my youngest was 3, you could ask the 3 yr old any NFL team, and he could tell you the mascot. We hadn't taught him the mascots or anything, he had just picked them up from hearing my 9 yr old, my wife and me talk about it all the time I guess.

It was a little embarassing, he probably didn't know his numbers or the alphabet, but he knew the NFL mascots. :laugh2:

Anyway, good luck to all of you with young ones, .. teach'em to be Cowboy fans !!:star:

My 5 and 4 year old boys put Madden into the xbox yesterday for the first time ever. They didn't even know what they were doing. One of them dropped back 60 yards, then threw a 30 yard pass for a net completion of negative 30 yards, and both of them jumped up and cheered like they won the superbowl.

It brings a tear to my eye.

My 3 yr old every other day wants his Romo jersey on. He also has his own little Romo shrine on the speaker next to the tv. LOL..

I was sitting there watching the Panthers/Giants game and he walks up and sits down, starts watching. I ask him, like I always do on Sunday. hhehe.."Who's your favorite football player?", He usually says, "Tony Romo and Demarcus Ware, ". lol. But, this time he adds "And that guy", Points to the tv and the Panthers and says "#3". I said "who? Matt Moore?, #3? He says, "yep, I like him too". LOL.

Mind you, at this time Matt Moore just threw another TD and was killing the Giants. LOL.

I think my kid is more of a Cowboys fan and knows the history more then I thought..

Kids rule. LOL

OMG, she's adorable!!!

I started mine out young....unfortunately, they make up their own minds when they get older. :(

I now have one son who doesn't like sports at all (except for LSU football, 'cuz he's in the Tiger Band) and the other who is (you won't believe this) a Buffalo Bills fan!! I can't explain that...all I know is I had him dressed in Cowboy gear when we beat the Bills in those two Super Bowls. Something went wrong between then and now!

Has to be a woman - no other explanation for it. The only thing that could make man lose his mind is a woman.

Cute kid...way to start her off on the right track! I started my daughter (16) & son (12) off the same way. My baby girl doesn't follow the game too much anymore but she still claims the 'Boys as her team and rocks her Dallas gear proudly (especially when we play the Deadskins)! My son, otoh, is DIE-HARD! He was ecstatic to finally witness his 1st postseason victory and is looking forward to three more this season :) !!!

Your little girl is a doll, pjtoadie. And apparently she's very smart too.

Must have gotten her good looks from her moms side.:)
