So the big takeaway from this is that a 4th round pick making 40 million a year is better than an UDFA with a whole 6 games under his belt……hoorah.

It does not need to. All it does is highlight an obvious truth that everyone in the NFL knows: Cooper Rush is nowhere near the level of Dak and wins are not a QB stat. These same GMs have Dak as a top 10-12 QB. These very people do not seem to have Cooper Rush as a top 50 QB. This thread is about how wrong those people who though Rush was as good as Dak were.

Those people are mental midgets. I don't know why we entertain them. No one with any credibility would've gone there. I appreciated the heck out of Rush this season, but no, he's not a long term starter for anyone.

Why would I possibly have the same expectations for the starter who is getting 160 million dollars vs a back up? The back up is expected to come in and just give you a chance and not go 0-6 when the starter goes down. a 3-3 record by the back up would be considered outstanding by your back up. But instead of 3-3 he went 5-1 and had a chance to beat the team that went to the super bowl... so OUTSTANDING by the BACKUP.

The starter playing like a back up in the playoffs.... no good.

Why was he 5-1 with the same team Dak had and was able to find Amari Cooper against the Vikings, while Dak couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn when targeting him? Not sure this helps the case of Dak-lovers..

There are other QBs out there still not signed either, like Teddy Bridgewater and Gardner Minshew.

This is not really my fight, but he did seem pretty competent, especially as a backup, when needed. I don’t see him as being a bad thing for a back up.
