I'm not one of those who belive Witten is in decline... but it was just one game.

Should we all be ruing the loss of Owens? He went off for 197 yards two weeks ago.....

You have to think without T.O. here Jason Witten is a bigger threat to cover, and double cover.

Teams gameplan to take him out of the game. That said he is on pace for more receptions this year than last year. And is on pace for about 100 less yards than last year. But who knows how things will work out, with the expansion of our offense.

A couple more games where he is a primary target or is able to get down the field, he is still in range for 1000 yard receiving season. Definitely don't think it goes that way though.

855 yards will be his 4th most productive season out of seven seasons.

Yes it was one game, but regardless he is still among the league leaders for tight ends. According to nfl.com he's the #2 ranked TE in the league up till this point.

That was a stupid thread, nothing more. Some folks play on the freeway, doesn't mean it's a valid topic.

Lol easy there Mr. I-told-you-so.

No one said Witten was in the decline. There was a thread questioning it because of his sub-par numbers.

I may be wrong but I didnt see a single post that said, "Witten is in the decline, and his numbers are reflecting it"

Witten is fine. The more Austin does in this offense, and the more our running game continues to be effective, the harder and harder it will be to cover Jason Witten.
