Gibbs was told by his assistants who could count to 12 that there were too many men on the field. He just dropped the flag. I suppose it was something that he was able to find it and get it on the field, though.

And Taylor's death was a tragedy, but it was also an emotional lift to a team that was adrift and not playing well despite Gibbs' early season coaching. I was more surprised after your Buffalo week when it looked like your team wasn't going to come together at all than I was to see the Skins finish strong.

The Skins had their superbowl against an emotionless Cowboys team that had nothing to play for. They spent all of their energy on that game against the Cowboys (who were playing for records and to avoid injuries) and got their butts handed to them by a cross town Hawks team. Now the Skins have disappeared just like their bandwagon fans....
