I think they died out. One seemed to be for a receiver like George Pickens, but Pittsburgh didn't draft a replacement so it had no reason to trade him. The Steelers were probably wanting more than we were offering anyway.

I don't think that just because no trades were made that it means the team wasn't trying to make a trade. It's just one of those situations where Jerry is better off keeping his mouth closed until after it happens.
