A couple of years ago Ernie was at camp and posted some vids. But last year (he wasn't at camp) but he made some stuff up on twitter. So I don't trust him. But I did post the video of Pickens with the CeeDee tag.

I've seen two random twitter posts about that compensation. Not sure where they got it from. But Jerry loves to give away 4ths and I could see the Steelers wanting a sweetener to get it closer to a 3rd round comp pick that they could get in two years if he leaves in free agency.

“Ernie the Cowboys Fan” he has a lot of “insiders” at the Star and makes a lot of predictions on his X account. He’s a fan….
Some recent prediction samples:
1. He predicted Cowboys were “working on a reunion” with Amari Cooper. (4-25-25) It could happen but he makes everything seem “imminent”.
2. He predicted that eagles 6th round Draft pick Kyle McCord “will take Jalen Hurts job” by season end.


There are many more…I would tap the brakes on this guys “inside info.”

There are no team leaders or coaches capable of stopping Pickens likely rants which will occur with the drastic targets decrease that he's been used to.

Very talented and productive player though.

A 5th for a one year rental of a terrific #2 would be a steal.

You’re undervaluing him.

Cowboys walked away from a demand at the draft if #44 overall.

If the price was a 3rd, I imagine they might have pulled the trigger.

Gonna swim upstream on this one, guys.... might wanna pump dem brakes on the self-congratulatory cynicism... that is, there could be a very good reason to not consummate a deal that you otherwise already have worked out...

And, that is, if there are June 1 implications to the dead money involved with the player's contract that you're obtaining.
