I just picked out a few of the better pass rushers and was wondering where you would put Hardy? I have to admit I haven't seen Hardy play that much since I don't watch many panthers games. The order I have them in is not set in stone.

1. JJ Watt
2. Robert Quinn
3. Greg Hardy
4. Von Miller
5. Robert Mathis
6. Aldon Smith

I never really knew of Hardy till he became a free agent. Didn't pay much attention to the Panthers defense. After watching some highlights, the dude is seriously strong, and has a motor that doesn't quit. He's a beast for sure. Top three for sure.

JJ Watt and Justin Houston are my #1 and #2.

I think Hardy is pretty much on par with Quinn/Von Miller as far as push rushing, but he's stronger. They each do things a little differently but very difficult to stop. I think he's much better than Mathis and Aldon at this point.

It's a shame about Aldon. If he kept on his rookie trek, he could be up there with Watt. He looked like a man among boys his first year in the league, it was unreal to see. Too bad he's a complete headcase.

I thought JPP was going to be great after his first couple seasons but I think the injury bug has bitten him. He is a beast..

Hard to leave out Houston
The guy had 22 sacks last year and has had like 43 in last 3 years

Last place...until he can start playing. If others on the list are suspended as well then he is tied for last place with them until they can play.

Interesting thread idea to pass the time.

But come on guys. How can you not have heard of Robert Quinn, Hardy (until now), or apparently even Justin Houston?
All in good fun, I know, but you can't really rank players if if you have little clue of who they are.

Anyway Hardy is way up there....so that's nice to know.

I would switch Miller and Mathis but otherwise agree with this list.

Of pure 4-3 DEs, he is #1. Watt is 3-4 DE and Miller is DE/LB tweener

Agreed. In terms of the overall package for a 4-3 DE, I think Hardy is currently tops, any suspension issues aside.
