sorry for another Romo thread but there's been a lot of who to start argument threads. The point is what team does he play for if he leaves?

Denver- they've had some serious up and downs but probably aren't making the playoffs. They did just spend a 1st on Lynch.

Arizona- will Palmer hang it up? Stout team that really underachieved partially due to QB play.

Texans- Romo wouldn't have to move his family most likely. Some good receivers and a good defense. Brock just got benched.

I think that a major wildcard could be Scott Linehan if he gets a head coaching job somewhere and brings Romo in.

Do NOT turn this into a Dak vs Romo thread or a Romo Lover/Hater / Dak Lover/Hater thread.

His best chance at a ring - Denver

His best situation - Houston. His family could stay in Dallas(or wherever they live) and that team has the tools to compete aside from a stable QB. Romo would not break the bank, so it is doable from a money perspective but that means Brock would be an expensive back-up.....much like we have here probably looking to unload.

Would Houston out-right cut Brock eating up all of that money after one season? IDK

I can't really seeing him going to Arizona or NY because they aren't as close to a SB as Denver. Houston may not be either but it is a 45 minute plane ride from home.

Earlier I thought Denver too, but their OL looks putrid this year so I'm not so sure now.

Id like to see him in Buffalo. If whoever they hire commits to the run, he may be able to stay healthy. That team could win 11 games with a healthy Romo.

I dont see him surviving in Denver

I'd be afraid of the cold in both those situations I think if I was him

ESPN's latest today has him in Chicago. I know half their line got injured this year, but I still have a hard time seeing him in cold climates at this stage in his career.
That includes Denver, btw.

If Houston could somehow get out of the Osweiler thing, he'd be great there. Arizona too.

Honestly, if I'm Romo and I'm looking at the multi-millions in my account, an awesome family, and the possibility of golfing everyday for the rest of my life; competing again becomes an afterthought. He fought the good fight, but in the end, time waits for no one.

I'd like to see him in broadcasting, I know there's a lot more to him than the canned press conferences we see

I think we should send him to Cleveland. A 6th round pick in return should suffice.

I do think, given that he owns all the stats records and that Jerry loves him, Romo would end up in the Ring of Honor.

But something tells me that the odds will go down of that happening if he plays somewhere else. Just a gut feel.

And if he goes to Denver, Arizona, or Houston and ends up winning a SB--especially if they beat Dallas along the way--then his fate my be sealed NOT to be in the ROH. :muttley:

I'm still going with San Francisco.

The Kaepernick and Gabbert days are over and San Francisco is a big time market. They aren't the most talented roster, but Romo is good enough to make them into playoff contenders.
