Where Does This Play Rank?

In your most gut wrenching Cowboy moments in your fan history? This has to rank #1 to me. And maybe the non PI call Irvin did not get in 94 after we came back from spotting SF 21 quick points. You can also throw in the dropped FG snap from Romo but that was a little different than this play.

Because I'm 61, my play is the "fumble" by Duane Thomas in our first Super Bowl game.

Yeah I'm lucky, all the Super Bowls I viewed were wins. Wish I was not so young, though. I was between 7-11 when they won the 3 in the 90s. I'd appreciate them a lot more now.

I could not stomach a Super Bowl loss like the Colts and the 2 against the Steelers, especially Harris dropping the easy TD.

The 2nd to last play in the playoff game vs Giants was worse for me. Re: Crayton

Both runs by McClain of the Raves in the last game of Texas Stadium was worse

Sorry i don’t share the Crayton hate. I think of his game winning catch against the Commanders. He has made so many great plays as a former Cowboy. The ****** talking was annoying as hell.

I think of Crayton placing the football over the plain against the Giants in 2007. Good production but cocky and sent a wrong message.

One of those runs was by Willis McGahee.

The QB sneak by Bart Starr in the Ice Bowl.

RG STILL left early!!!!...

I wasn't even alive when that play happened. But, god, it still stings.

Mine is "The Catch" against the Niners. Heartbreaking.

Yeah that one sucked esp because Montana was just throwing the ball away.

doesnt even come close to some other plays IMO, notably the Duane Thomas "fumble", the bogus Benny Barnes PI call, the Jackie Smith drop, that damn catch by Clark and the non PI call on Deion

This was meant for each person and how it ranks to them. I know in the grand scheme of things and their history, it's not up there but for me, it is. I wasn't even alive during The Catch, or anything that happened in the 70s or 60s. I have seen all the games but am not emotionally connected to them.

This play for me will always stick with me.

I have no respect for people like this OP.

You hate and revile a guy because he dropped a pass? Get a clue and get a life.

If this is your worst moment in Cowboys history, then it's obvious you've never seen the Jackie Smith drop in Super Bowl XIII. That was way worse than this.

everybody hated Crayton after that game...He stoped on a route and droped a crucial, maybe even game changing pass.

Can't believe the OP's video is still availlable. In before the mods :)

Yeah, and in Crayton's defense, he has caught several passes that the previous 84 wouldn't catch. I remember when Crayton started playing for the Boys, I kept saying, "man, it's nice to see a "84" actually catching the ball again.
