Where Frederick Will Play

There's a lot of general offensive line projection threads going on here, but I'd like to concentrate on this one, Travis Frederick, guard or center? Personally, I'd love to see him as a center for a few reasons:

It's his natural position, we're weak at both guard and center so you can't really have any reservations as to which you'd rather see him play, and finally, I believe putting him at center, allows us to play Costa at guard, who with some progress, and the responsibility of snapping the ball where I believe he could be quite good (or at least a serviceable option)

And just for the record, I'm a Frederick believer after taking a step back from the pick and looking at a few of the highlights/lowlights.

Center
Why would they draft the best center in the draft in the first round to be a guard.

Why is Center Frederick's natural position?

Even if it is, I see him as an 7/8 as a center and maybe a 6/7 as a guard.

I see Costa potentially (based on last season's play) being a 7 as a C and a 3/4 as a guard.

I believe Costa should be the Center and Frederick should compete at LG.

Frederick started at left guard until he moved to center as a senior, but scouting reports say he can play right guard, too. I'm not sure if Costa has the power to play guard.

Something tells me Frederick is the right guard; and Mackenzy Bernadeau competes with Costa at center. Nate Livings graded out well at left guard last year even though he doesn't pass the "eyeball test". I think Dallas leaves him there for now.

It's Center. Listen to Jerry. He said that we needed that anchor in the middle that will help our two guards become better. He's been saying this since last year, how the center will make the guards better.

Hell probably play guard becuase costa cant really play guard. Remember the team was targeting interior linemen, not just centers.

Who cares what Costa can't do. He will be the backup.
