1. The lead draw........a staple of this teams success from Dorsett, to Emmitt, to even Murray, this play has been run only once if that.
2. The pump fake......This has been a lost art with Tony, and was one of Troys greatest strengths. The simple pump fake tends to get a safety out of position and usually is very effective. Drew Brees is one of the games best and I wish we implemented it more in our passing game. I do understand that we have had problems as far as pass blocking but it can happen with extra protection. I will say this, we have been running a pump fake slant but only throw the same slant a little further down field. The play looks good but is also already getting old. Wouldn't hurt to run different variations off of this.
3. The RB screen......how many times did KC send 6 and not once, NOT ONCE did Callahan call a simple HB screen pass. It is so simple and if it works for 10+ yards just once stops the opposing team from blitzing so often.
4. The deep ball........again Aikman made a living off of this, and Tony rarely throws them. Aikman threw 5-7 a game and had faith in his WRs, Tony seems to have no faith and will only throw it if his WR has beaten the defender. He needs to trust in Dez and Miles that they will fight for the ball deep. So much good can come from the deep ball if the WR has a chance to catch it. Even Eli, while he has started horrible, always takes a lot of chances deep and usually gets rewarded by his WRs. It helps open up the entire offense too!!!!
5. The pitch........boy I miss the days when Emmitt would go pitch to the outside on a 3rd and short only to see him turn the corner and usually take it the distance. Murray has decent speed, and good power after contact, this should be a no brainer of a call if you ask me. Once you run this correctly 2-3 times it will open up teams on the inside runs.

who knows man. everything has gotten so bland with this offense.

Too simple to be in a Ivy league designed playbook..........The KISS theory is out the window.

These plays work. Once a play has been shown to work several times, JG removes it from his playbook never to be seen again.

That's just how he roll.

the one play that would work 100% of the time is this.

send dez out on a go route ..send miles on a curl pattern

send cole , terrance or even escobar down the middle..

the center of the field should be wide open.

But the problem is, Romo will then throw to Witten who runs a 3 yard route because the play was design to go to Witten as the first read.

i was about to add that you need a solid rb to pull this off with the playaction.

6. The victory formation. :D

Red likes to take what the defense offers vs trying to make the defense take something away. Its a fatal flaw in his coaching and has doomed him in Dallas.

I think just to add to it, he is playing not to lose, never any impose will... That had been one of the main problems of his offensive philosophy and Callahan is not an improvement .

They need to trust the D to hold or get ball back and go for some Dare plays
