You could have a 1990s Emmitt and the great wall of Dallas and Dak would still screw it up. He has to go before we start making plans. With him everything is a moot suggestion.
The expression on his face last sunday said it all. The stage is way too big for him

Loved Callahan’s influence when he was with the Cowboys. However, I saw he recently turned down an OC position and resigned a contract with Cleveland. He’s not coming back to Dallas. There are probably a dozen competent and hungry offensive line coaches in college football. Jerry loves to throw geriatric retreads at vital coaching positions.

Hes a master at play calling the run game.
Go get him , a running back .and take the pressure of Dak and the defense.. Put the other teams defense on the field and keeps them there

Just like the tuna, Jed ran him out of town too. Heard the man hates him.

True.....but I'd say the OL looked good when he coached them at Dallas. The last time the OL was formidable.
Once again we have fans pretending Callahan made our OL.

But in reality the best line we've had here since the 90s was in 2016 after Callahan left.

Formidable......didn't say he made the OL....formidable. Do you agree? It's been a mess since he left despite our Pro Bowler Zack trying to hold it together with Tyron's injuries.

You also said it was the last time. No it wasn't. The OL got better after he left.

More importantly he's great at teaching blocking.
And he was tossed aside for garrett
Garrett was with the Cowboys and already head coach before Callahan got there

he can'-stand Jerry and Stephen. He won't come back here. He wanted the HC job as it was basically promised to him if it came open. He felt lied to. Its a trust thing. Felt sabotaged. Sounds familiar don't it.
The job didn't come open until 5 years after he left Dallas. The Cowboys let his contract expire.

Bill Callahan is/was a talented offensive mind. He’s bounced around the league the last few years mostly as an OL coach. He turns 68 in July. He’s currently the OL coach in Cleveland and is no longer considered a hot commodity as an offensive guru.

And…what did we truly accomplish with BC here? Why would going back in time and getting Callahan be so good? I don’t mean to be negative - I’m just curious why Bill Callahan would be a difference maker here at age 68 and with his history here.

It's been 10 years since he was an O-Coordinator. He is primarily an O-Line coach, and he already has a job in that capacity

:hammer: .....Jerry burning yet another coach. And people wonder why Jerry gets a bad rap. This might be Jerry's 2nd biggest blunder....other than burning his bridge with Jimmy.

But Garrett wanted the play calling
