As for current stadiums. It's all on people's preference. People's tastes differ.

Not a matter of which one people like more. Just which one is most recognized...that's Wembley

There are other stadiums that can be argued as more iconic/recognizable that are still in use today.

1. Center court at Wimbledon
2. Old Yankee Stadium-gone but recent enough
3. Rose Bowl
4. Estadio Azteca(soccer-Mexico City)
5. Fenway/Wrigley/Astrodome

It depends on where you are from and your age that leads to a certain recognizable stadium. No doubt Wembley is ranked at or near the top but it doesn't sit there by itself IMO.

And it's the people who decide what is recognizable. As I said before. One day it may be this, another that.

If people don't know about a place, it's not recognized by them. Everybody in the world knows Wembley

What do you mean "where is EVERYONE sitting"! You just assumed everyone is going, you could have rephrased it!

Sorry, just felt like starting a useless argument. Its the CowboyZone way!:p

Enjoy the game… I'll be watching from my TV, unless work somehow takes me that way...

As far as recognition of stadium names. I go with most people know Wembley Stadium.
Even if you are not a soccer fan, you heard the name, know where it is. It's all over sportscenter.

It's like Texas Stadium, or what was Cowboys Stadium. People know it. Now being AT&T Stadium, that may change it for younger generations.
But Jerry is trying, as to having all these other events there.

When I was overseas for my work, people would ask where I was from. most people said a state, or city and state, and would usually just say the biggest city closet to them.
If one lived a hundred miles from Chicago, they would just say United States, in Chicago, Illinois

All I ever said was Dallas. They knew exactly where it was. Or they seen my Cowboys shirt or hat, and say, ahh, Dallas Cowboys, you from there?
This was in South Korea and Japan.

This was in South Korea and Japan.

A friend of mine went to Turkey and a stranger heard him talking and said 'English?' 'yes' he replied then the Turkish man quoted only fools and horses and said 'you plonker Rodney!' hahaha
