Where is the love for Keith Davis?

Now I only saw parts of the game on "No Huddle" on NFL Network, and listened to the game on the internet, but where is the love?

Moose mentioned Davis's play several times on the radio, and from what I did see Keith Davis's presence was seen.

For the second week in a row he is delivering punishing hits. Last week he crushed Jermey Stevens, and this week I saw him light up Andre Johnson. He also is coming up on the run and looking pretty good.

Him and Roy seem to really be delivering a message. Do not bring that crap in here.

If Keith keeps this up I am seeing ver possibly the hardest hitting saftey combination in the NFL, and Keith showing up some on "HE GOT JACKED"

I also saw Keith in some coverage with perfect position, and looked pretty comfortable out there, from what I saw.

Where is the love?

I think if you read over the board you'll see basically that it's a foregone conclusion he is the starter. The love is there, you just gotta look.

he was pretty good...everyone has always knew he could hit, its the ball and coverage skills most of us wonder about

he did have excelletn coverage downfield once or twice last night, one time it appeared he was in man coverage in the endzone (havent rewatched it yet) and he was right with the guy

he was definitely better last night than in games one or two IMO...

i'll give him some love....i think he's by far the best FS on the team. he's been bringing the wood and he seems to be in position. obviously i would like to see hime get involved in some turnovers and be more of a ball hawk but i think he can be the guy for us.

Right here.

He is showing instinct, without over gambling.

Playing within himself much more than I suspected he would. Didn't see last night's game yet, but sounds like he is not doing what I feared he would... taking Tony Dixson angles and taking himself out of plays with poor judgment. :)

Three weeks ago I wasn't just grumbling there will never be another Woody, but griping we passed on Darren Sharper.

Not anymore....KD is playing well, and Bill doesn't seem to be holding him back..which is what I really feared, that we'd lose his youthful exuberance and relish for play making to over straight-jacketing...a few more dogs chasing cars parables and you get yourself a robot.

FS right now doesn't look like it will hold us back, and Henry and Glenn's presence in the secondary automatically creates a sense of security...

He definately has the FS spot locked up in my mind. He's been very good and shown that he can really lay the lumber. I am still worried about him in the regular season, when offenses set more of a tone, get more complex and you see a lot more playaction. but so far so good.

Keith Davis might not be the prettiest girl in school, but I'd go to the dance with him anyway.

I think there is a chance he looks like a whole other player by the end of the season. He might not be the greatest coverage guy ever and he's gonna make mistakes, but he's definitely got a little bit of that "playmaker" gene or whatever that tells him to "get after it".

Congratulations, Keith Davis, and good luck!

I've been on his bandwagon since he led the NFLE in interceptions prior to last season. I think he's going to solidify the FS position and we're going to scare the hell out of WRs all year.

Oh yeah, and Petitti is going to do well at RT too so that's taken care of. He'll probably get helped out a lot in the beginning by TEs, but I think he's going to grow into it and remind us all of another number 79 who played RT for us.

So the only remaining question is, when do Fergie and Rivera get back? I fully expect Spears to get a lot of playing time next week.

I jsut watched Calico's first two vids and Keith Davis just stood out!

He was laying wood all over and between him and Roy, they didn't want to catch anything.

Already, Keith Davis is better than any free safety we had there last year. He even came up in run support and made a tackle.

I am impressed.

I still not sold on KD but he played well last night and he's got that fire that you need. With him and Roy back there, receivers will be hearing footsteps for sure.

Davis and Williams. In 2006 we will be celebrating a double safety Pro Bowl selection. These two guys can really light it up, escpecially when the pass rush is making throws float because they are coming out early.

Yeah, everyone seemed to feel Justin B. was the going to be the future at Safety similar to what people were saying last year about Tom Crowder.

The only problem I have with Davis is that there seems to be plays open over the middle on his side but most of the time Davis is there to put the big hit on. Also, I think it is the fact that the Cowboys stay with their Base 3-4 when teams come out in three-wide, leaving Ware on guys like Andre Johnson every now and then.

Two hard hitting safeties are great to have. I will be watching his INT count this year.

Davis, shown above, reminding Adre Johnson who the real team in Texas is.
