Geez, now the the playoff scenario simulator that Yahoo had up would actually be valuable, it's nowhere to be found. Before this week, there were just too many variables to have any idea how things were going to play out.

But I really want to use it now!! Does anyone know where it IS?!!?!?!?!?!

Atta boy utrunner! But I disagree, because I don't think Minny is going to lose to the Giants. Depends on Eli -- if he plays, they could probably beat Minny with their second string, but if they play David Carr and other key backups, Giants ain't winning that game.

Nope, I think we're going to Minny ourselves. Fine by me considering the weather outside is frightful, but a dome is pure delightful.

Agreed. I much rather us play Minny than Chicago after the way Romo played in the cold at Pitt.

Interesting.. My scenario has us beating Chicago in the WildCard game and then headed to Atlanta who beat out Carolina for the NFC South.

If we beat Philly, this could be an easier ride than I thought to the NFC Championship game.

How does that work? Aren't we still the sixth seed in your scenario? If so, we'd go into the divisonal round as the lowest seed left, which means we play the #1 seed...which means sweet revenge against the N.Y. Giants.

We wouldn't play Carolina in that scenario. We would be the 6th seed unless the Falcons lose to the Rams this weekend. We would be headed to play the Giants.

The weather was delightful and he didn't play all that well against the Ravens for 3 1/2 quarters.

Hey Tony, I hope you're studying for the Eagles better than you studied for any other team this season.

Which would be just fine with me -- I want a shot at them. Even if we lose, I want the shot.

My bad, I thought the brackets were set before the results of the wild card games.. if the Giants get the lowest seed remaininag after the wild card games then we have to go through them to get to the NFC Championship game regardless I guess.

The only thing that can prevent that is if Atlanta loses to St Louis... ahem

Yup, then we'd play in Arizona and then Carolina (if Atlanta beat the Bears or Minny) and miss the bad weather completely. Dig it! Won't happen (because St. Louis will NEVER beat Atlanta when Atlanta still has a lot to play for) but you never know.

St Louis should never have beaten us or the Commanders either... I guess thats why they play the games, but I still striuggle to explain that performance.

My list of LEAST desirable places to play...if we make the playoffs.

#1 Carolina - They are the toughest home team IMHO.
#2 NY - A healthy Jacobs is doom for the Cowboys no matter where the game is.
#3 Chicago - COLD and Romo = bad
#4 Arizona - Fitz and Bolden are scary when the old man is on.
#5 Minn. - I think we could beat Minn. anywhere.
#6 Atlanta - The rookie under pressure in a playoff game would fold like a house of cards.

I agree with everything except the last two spots -- the rookie QB has proven he is a leader who can take the pressure. Minny is ideal, stop AP and you stop them. Plus, I think our team can rock in a dome.

Not SD. If they finish 8-8 and would have won 4 straight. With all the injuries they've had, I'd say they earned it.

Besides they saved our season last week so now they are officially my AFC team.

GO BOLTS!

What do you think the chances are Atlanta takes a week off or celebrates a little to long and loses to the Rams?

That would open up the #5 seed for us and a date with Arizona.

It would be interesting and the Rams have proven that they can put it together every once in a great while. If Atlanta had less to play for, maybe. But they still have a shot at the division title.

But you could be right -- I heard their defensive end talking yesterday and he seemed pretty satisfied with their current playoff spot. They might come out flat -- stranger things have happened.
