I wonder who they think the 7 TEs are that are better than Witten.

That's certainly a crowded group of players.

You've got Gates, Gonzales, Cooley, Shockey, Heap, Crumpler, Winslow, D. Clark, and others. I don't think many of them can be put over Witten, but it's a tough category to rank.

I would probably take issue with Cooley and Clark, but I could see how it could be argued.

When I think of TE's, this is how I tier it...

Gates/Gonzales

Witten/Cooley/Heap/Shockey

Crumpler/Winslow Jr/Dallas Clark


But then again, I am a homer.....so this can probably be ignored and seen as nothing more than mere ramblings of a typical Cowboys fan.

I think if I was going to drop anyone, it would be Shockey. Cooley is legit, even if he is a fruit.

I would like to see that too. If Lindy's has Nate Clements (and his blockbuster contract) ranked below Newman, I would laugh my butt off. That would be both funny and accurate at the same time.
