I don't think you get what I or other fans like me are about.
so you think somehow that I will not be cheering for them come Sunday? That i get offended by them talking about achieving? Not at all. but there is talking, and then there is actually DOING. they need to demand more doing of themselves. that is how winners think. they don't commit 5 false start penalties that helps stall drives and lose them the game, say they will fix it, and then come out the next week and do it again... and again.. and again.
secondly, I will be cheering them on like crazy. my only caveat is that they do their VERY best to fulfill the dreams of Dallas Cowboys fandom... which is a new Superbowl victory. If the teams want fans, and I think that they do, because they all get paid a LOT of money to entertain those fans, and they WANT to be special as Dallas Cowboys, which I think they do , because it is a storied franchise and the most beloved team in the NFL, then they have a goal to achieve and they need to focus their all on that goal. I merely want to help them do that, with the way I praise them when they succeed and also, how I constructively criticize them when they do not.
If they can't handle that then they need to learn that Team is more important than anything and the goal is the point of the entire game. They are not on this team to be mediocre. that would be an insult to those that achieved so much before them. they are on THIS team to work towards excellence and achieve that goal once again.
That is the kind of mentality Tom Landry would expect. That is the kind of mentality Jimmy Johnson expected, and that is the kind of mentality I expect.
