Sounds like he found a place but Buffalo Wild Wings is generally a pretty good bet. There is one between Ritchie and Airtex on the North Freeway and another in the Portofino shopping center also off of 45 North and Research Forrest in The Woodlands/Shenandoah.
I worked in Houston for 6 months in 2014. Stayed in a hotel in the Memorial Park area, off of 10 & Sam Houston Tollway.
There was a Buffalo Wild Wings right by the hotel. Though I watched most the games on my laptop if not on TV, using my slingbox. I did go watch a few game at BWW when not conflicting with the Texans game.
I sold my Cowboys / Texans game tickets to one of the bartenders there. I could have made some profit if I sold them online, but sold them to him for face value. He was a pretty decent guy, so did him and his girlfriend a favor. But I had just walked in to give him the tickets, and he said I missed Jonathon Joseph by 5 minutes. He said, Joseph said, they were a bit worried about the game and containing Dez and Murray. Joseph was getting an order to go, not hanging out.
I liked this area, had a good time. I will go back if the opportunity comes up again.
