Taco is the worst.
Crap attitude? Lol, that’s ironic because that’s the entire reason I hope he’s gone, HIS crap attitude. Either you’re not familiar with Beasley or your definition of “crap attitude” is vastly different from mine. What did he do to you? What a crap attitude.
Tell that to Travis Benjamin who is a decent enough receiver himself and practically disappeared from their offense last year. There quite simply isn't going to be enough catches to go around. Especially for Beasley who thinks he should get a ton of targets. You can fit Allen and Beasley on the field together productively. SD isn't running a 90s offense like us. Rivers, Gordon, Allen, and Beasley together sounds pretty tough to deal with.
Patriots
Unless someone gets cut, the the Pats have no need for Beasley, especially considering he's looking for a nice contract. As he should be....
The man gets open and Dak likes to throw to him. If it’s a measly million dollars separating the two from signing then give it to him. I have no problem paying him 5-6 million.Yup! 39 of his receptions were for a 1st down conversion last season. They were 1 for 10 on 3rd down in the Rams game in which he had a bad ankle. Not really hard to figure this one out!
They're not exactly loaded at the WR position. With Gronk on his last leg, they have Hogan and Edelman - Hogan is decent, Edelman and his health is always up in the air - I think Beasley would be a good option for them.
How much is he asking? I would pay 5-6 million a year for a 3 year deal to keep him. Dak uses him and he gets open. It’s Daks security blanket. This year with Gallup likely getting better and Cooper then Beez could have a big year.He will be on one of the 31 other teams, just not here.
I liked Cole Beasley, but too many fans here way overrate him. In his 7 years in the NFL, he averages 3.1 receptions per game, for 32 yards. He averaged 3 TDs per season. Even if you just take the last 5 seasons where he was a full time starter, Beas still only averaged 3.3 receptions per game for 35 yards. That’s not so great.
And despite some anti-Dak comments, Beas actually had his 3 best seasons with Dak as QB. In his best season in 2016, he caught 75 passes from Dak on 98 targets. He had more targets each of the last 3 seasons than he ever had with Romo.
Cole Beasley is basically a slightly above average NFL receiver. Who will be 30 next year. At the price he’s asking, no thanks.
Here’s where I disagree Glim. We could get better at that position for equal or lesser money. Why would we pay $5 mil a year for a guy who averages 3 catches for 32 yards a game? Adam Humphries, the FA slot receiver from TB has been a much more productive receiver the last 3 years, averaging 4.1 receptions for 44 yards. And he’s only 26.How much is he asking? I would pay 5-6 million a year for a 3 year deal to keep him. Dak uses him and he gets open. It’s Daks security blanket. This year with Gallup likely getting better and Cooper then Beez could have a big year.
He's 30, considering the crutch he is to Dak he probably has more value to Dallas than any other team in the league. 4 years in the 25m range, backloaded. No ones giving him 40m!The man gets open and Dak likes to throw to him. If it’s a measly million dollars separating the two from signing then give it to him. I have no problem paying him 5-6 million.
As long as it’s not here, I don’t care. Of course, seeing him go to some horrendous team would be a nice little cherry on top.
If he is not a Cowboy then I am not concerned with what team he ends up with.My guess is the Los Angeles Chargers.
With Rivers as his qb and in their offense, Beasley could put up some big numbers.
Plus, he will be in LA to pursue his dream of becoming a rapper.....
