where would we be without Dat?

We would be 5-4, without him noticing the formation of a shovel and calling it out I think Philly would've scored on that play.

We are better to have depth and rotation. Dat just can't function full time in a 3-4 and heck James and Shanle only had 15 tackles.

Dat is now a nickel backer who will rotate in on occasion.

He's a great leader, smart player that will be part of this journey....

Nope - But my trade sugestion of a 2nd (Rogers) for him looks better as time goes on......

I like our Dline and LB rotation just fine. Fact is we have done nothing but win in Dats absence and his return in a new role makes the team better.

Win Win

Other than Law - where have I been wrong dude? Bring it. I can put a whoop *** on the naysayers. Do it. My record is outstanding - read up on Parcells - its actually easy.....

How is this thread any different from the ones y'all fuss about that Nors posts? Seriously?

Dat shows up big time in the game and you post a thread calling out an individual poster because of his opinions about Dat. It's really no different that if Nors had posted with a chest-thumping thread.

All that really matters is that Dat made the call and that the play was unsuccessful. I'm sure Dat could care less whether or not Nors has predicted his replacement in the starting lineup.

speedman - can someone clarrify that - I have no TIVO on game but it looked like Dat.

If it was Shanle I'd like to know that....

I do know Shanle and James played majority of game and Dat was situationally in. Love his new role - great team guy.

Too many to list, but I'll just say Al Singleton.

Your post makes no sense. This thread has nothing to do with Ty Law. It's about the role of Dat Nguyen in the future of the Cowboys.

It was #59 Dat Nguyen with his black Cowboy collar that made the call on the field...

No I didn't listen to the game from Madden, I listened to Sham with the volume turned down on the TV, and I taped the game and watched it over and it was clearly Dat.

Shanle wasn't even on the field during that play.

Dat, Burnett, James, and Ware were the LBs. I just watched it.

And it clearly was Dat making the call.

How about Dan Campbell? he good enough

really does happen a lot in the league. Most of the time, most offenses in the NFL, you are tagged with a certain style. If you are zone running scheme team, not a power running team, they know you want to stretch the ball. So they know what you like to audible into. When we kill a play, or go opposite, they have an idea what we’re going to do by previous weeks if they are up on their game and studied. In Dat’s case, b58 he’s done that ever since I’ve known him. He used to do that in college. Even in practice. He would call our plays everytime, and its frustrating practicing against him. He never gets burned on the same play twice. Guys like him and Zach Thomas play a long time in this league because they are so smart.

I think we have gone through this about 100 times already. It was Dat without a doubt.

He was wearing a neck collar and sleeves. Shanle didn't have either. It is quite clear in the replay.

58 and 59 look almost identical because Dat's jersey tends to roll up on the bottom.

Heck, I think even Dan Campbell addressed this very play today and called out Dat's tendency to do the same thing in college.
