I would have probably preferred having my son in his yearly hockey school in Montreal and also go somewhere else in North America but Mrs CCF talked me into going to Europe this year.

So we are going to Paris for a week and then off to Madrid where we join tour of Spain for nine days and then finish with another week in Barcelona.

I swear my son believes that unless you fly somewhere it isn't a holiday.

This will be his third trip to Europe and he is only nine (I first when to Europe at 34). At least he will be able to work on his francais in Paris.

I might take the train over to Disneyland Paris just so say I went there.

Versailles, Louvres, Invalides D'Orsay and Champs are on my list (my hotel is right next to the Champs).

Mrs CCF and CCF Jr are very excited.

My wallet not so much.

I get 17 days leave in late June/Early July. I'll be going... nowhere.

I might go down to Laredo to visit my dad for a day (I can't stand being in that crap town longer than a day).

I'm staying in the FLA. I will probably hit up St. Pete beach for a couple of days.

YR

Returning to DFW general area for a week in June to see the folks.

We aren't going on holiday in the summer, instead we are coming to Dallas to watch the Cowboys in October :)

So based on that, any tips on what we should do/see when we are over?

Coke 600 next week, a couple of Reds games this summer, the Hall of Fame Game in August, and the Race to the Chase at Richmond in September. I prefer going to sporting events over the beach any day of week because beach trips get old after about day 2 and I'm ready to go home.

Staying in home sweet home of Austin. Son graduates from Baylor on Saturday, so going to send him somewhere for a mini-vacation this summer. He's wanted to go to Mexico for years, but still don't feel comfortable with the way things are over there right now. Belize might be nice though. He's also brought up going to Turkey.

You sound like me. Though, you can go to Santa Cruz, and still make a ton of sporting events less than 100 miles away. There's a lot of nice Redwood Forests along the way as well.

We're going to Disneyland in early June, as my wife is having surgery in mid June. We'll be taking it easy for most of the summer as a result and then we volunteer for the local Jazz Festival in August.

Well if you consider leaving friday night and heading east to Lake Havasu City AZ a vacation then I do that 2 times a month from April-August and usually on the holiday weekends we stay longer. But that's the life of a river rat

One week at Disney .

4-5 days in the mountains (Fancy Gap Va)

One week in Cabo San Lucas

Maybe a few days at Cape Hatteras

The rest of time, hanging in Dallas...probably lots of pool time.

Well it wont be in summer but early this winter i think me and my girlfriend will be going to So Cal for the "theme park crawl". Six Flags, Universal Studios, Disneyland and San Diego Zoo!!!! Cant wait. I'm a theme park kind of guy.

Only taking a couple of weekend family trips this summer, but I'd like to go somewhere for Labor Day.

If I scrape up the coins, I may swing to Philly to see my friends there.

Is that worth a visit? Considering stopping for a night to break up the drive from Williams to Palm Springs.

Do your self a favor and stay there instead of heading to Palm Springs

I'm going to Belgium to visit some of their awesome breweries, eat chocolate (best beers and chocolates in the world, IMO) and watch a soccer game or two.
