I love the coachscout threads. He's been one of my favorite posters from the time he started posting here. And I'm sure that he appreciates the fact that people look forward to his posts.
And while I definitely appreciate his threads, I just happen to think when the anticipation reaches a certain level, it becomes fawning. There's a life-cycle on message boards that starts with great content, then moves into fawning, then, at some point, there's a backlash where a small group of posters decides they can make some hay by attacking the person who provides the great content, and that takes the fun out of the whole process and the good poster in question stops posting. I'd like to forestall that process as long as possible in this case.
So, sorry, guys, if I think the fawning is creepy. It's just one guy's opinion, and I'm perfectly content if you don't want to give it any credence at all in this context.
