Based on the two preseason games, which coordinator do you think has done the better job so far? Bill Callahan or Monte Kiffin?

Personally, I'm lovin these turnovers we're getting. Man...I can't wait til the real season starts!!!

I seriously doubt Callahan has opened the playbook, but I've been impressed with both sides thus far, if a bit more impressed with the D. But the OLine's improvement has been night and day.

The corners are playing pretty soft. I thought the T2 had more bump and run.

This isn't an answer to the question posed, but I get the feeling the offense will significantly outperform the defense this year.

The moderate improvement on the O-line and the massive improvement in playcalling will put this offense in the top 5 I think.

I just do not agree that Garrett had a playcalling problem. We had the worst offensive line in football, could not run the ball and couldn't throw deep because of a lack of time. And yet we still moved the ball. But in the redzone when the field shrinks...if you can't punch in the ball....particularly on the ground you will struggle. That is exactly what we saw.

It will be annoying to hear all the crowning of Callahan/Big Red bashing when we score more points...completely ignoring not only the offensive line upgrades but the RB fortification as well.

It's funny watching Romo actually. It almost seems like he's thrown off by the time & protection he's getting. He looks a bit hesitant to step into the throw.

This offense will be deadly once he gets comfortable.

They brought in Callahan to fix the O-line after Garrett's handpicked guy ran the line into the ground. The offense gradually worsened every year that Garrett has coached them. There's literally nothing you can say positive about Garrett's coaching -- unless you ignore the results. Luckily, he's now only the head cheerleader. And we have a real offensive coach running the show. Results will follow.

I agree. Someone here called it Brady time. Lol

Romo had two plays like that and didn't find an open man. I think he'll adjust soon ha

It will be more annoying hearing Garrett get the credit for the offense improving when in fact it was the upgrade in coordinator/playcaller that made the difference.

Well our offense was 6th last year, soo..ya know.

I think the defense will make the bigger jump.

Except...what about all those years before Garrett was the HC and he was the playcaller on some very good Cowboy offenses?

And again....this offense could move the ball. They just struggled in the Red Zone for reasons I have stated. Obvious reasons. Real reasons.

And how did this offense gradually get worse? 3 years ago they were 7th in total offense. 2 years ago they were 11th. Last year they were 6th. How is that gradually getting worse?

3 years ago they were 7th in points scored. And the last two years they were 15th. Now before you start crowing they scored virtually the same points the last two years and the year they were 7th in points scored they scored ONE MORE point per game more than they did the years they were 15th.

Now one could say the offense has been stagnant since Garrett came on board. One could say they could have been better with improved offensive line play. But to say they got worse every year since Garret coached them is just flat out fabrication.

I don't know what you have against Garrett....but it's clearly making you say things that are just not true. You say I ignore the results? You're ignoring the facts.

This offense will be better this year than it was last year. But that will be a function of the o-line and not a switch from Garrett to Callahan.

What? How does this make any sense? Garrett won't get credit for the offense improving. Hopefully when credit / blame is being handed out grades start with the lineman.

I had no problem with Garrett when he was the OC and I have no problem with Garrett as the HC. When he was trying to do both he sucked at it. Was the o-line was part of the problem, ABSOLUTELY, but it was painfully obvious that doing both jobs kept Garrett from being the best he could be at both of them. I am excited about this season. I am excited that he no longer calls plays and that the team should be much better off for it.
