We all know Garrett has no problems throwing assistants under the bus to save his own skin, just look at how many different coordinators there have been under Garrett. So the question becomes, who is Garrett going to throw under the bus for this chit season? We all know Garrett is the sacred cow in the barn, so who will be the sacrificial lamb in the pasture offered up to the fans?

My bet is Scotty Linehan, I think he is shown the door and it will be pitched to the fans that he couldn't properly design a competent offense for Dak once Zeke was suspended.
I think he just signed a new contract. Stephen does not like to waste money.

They will be thrown under the bus on one sense, but in another sense they completely deserved to be fired. Garrett deserves to be fired as well, but it's not like Linehan and Marinelli are doing stellar jobs and will be unjustly blamed

Rod for sure too. Definitely could see a new Oc and dc at least.
They let 3 of 4 starters go in the secondary. The defense is very inexperienced and the top player (Lee) has missed several games.

The defense probably overachieved relative to realistic expectations.

I think if any coach goes it will be Rod, His Tampa Two "Bend but don't Break" defense is so outdated, Replacement already on staff in Elberflus

Not really his fault they decided not to resign Leary and Doug Free retired

Doug Free was overdue to retire, imho. Leary's departure was likely not his doing, although the OL's demise still seems overly extensive. There's certainly something to be said that the FO should have acted immediately to curb such a downfall in the offseason, so there's that as well. I'd dare to say it'd be understandable if Pollock's tenure were to continue but the leash that he's granted in 2018 could also be a lot shorter.

Dak’s success last year was because of Linehan in reality... he basically dumbed down his responsibilities...

Remember this week after the half, Garrett spoke about the need for big plays. And last week he said the exact opposite, that we need to keep plugging away so something will eventually open.

Dude is just clueless selling snake oil as a HC..

You could be correct. Linehan and Garrett supposedly go way back though, so it may be marinelli that goes instead. I'm ready for an entire new direction and a complete coaching staff shake up. The same old problem with that is that Jerry will be hiring the new HC.

Well, Garrett homers were saying that him and Kiffen go way back and they were praising the move to bring him in until Kiffen let this defense put up record stats in futility.

I believe OL Coach, Frank Pollock might take the fall for this team's flop.

Under his supervision, the OL has declined into an undeniable disaster.

The problem with this, is Garrett homers wanted to take the credit for him building the line. And Callahan actually did it and Garrett fueded with the guy out of probably jealousy and screwed him over per Jerry’s own words, but Jerry actually sided with Garrett anyways and made Callahan upset.

So Jerry chose Garrett over two of the most brilliant minds in their respective positions ever..

Jerry likes to give lip service though. He basically praised Wade’s coaching and half time adjustments with the Rams saying that’s the reason the Rams won..

Wade Wilson....that would be the least noticeable on the field and it would appear to the typical bandwagon fans that the FO is doing something to right the ship when to the diehard fans that follow the team closely knows better. It would be similar to putting lipstick on a pig......in the end it's still a pig.

I'd get rid of Rob "refusal to draft/fa a HUGE tackle.
I'd get rid of Linehan and his 1980's offense
The only one I'd keep is possibly the special teams coach, whomever he is.

I'd tell Garrett, that if his teams come out with penalties all over the place, can't move without 2 players on the field, can't maintain leads, he's out.

That's the best we can do with Jones as GM.

If I was forced to only pick one coordinator, it's Marinelli. Get that bend but don't break crap out of here. Find a real coach that demands sound, aggressive, technique-sound and most importantly playmaking defensive football. You need to find a defense that can stand on its own 2 feet. Not always looking for the offense as its crutch.

Callahan wasn't doing any better of a job than what Garrett had to offer as an OC. He got extremely butthurt over his demotion and sorely blamed both Garrett and Jerry for it. His departure was fully anticipated in consideration of his extreme displeasure over that fall from grace. Going from the NFL's most revered OL coach to a reject as an OC was a killer to his pride. Hence, he left. Nevertheless, Pollock was left with a responsibility that he was simply unable to duplicate in the wake of Callahan's departure. Anyway, it's just a doggone shame it happened.

Jerry effectively came out in the off-season and said Jason was the OC and kept interfering with Callahan and it wasn’t fair to Callahan..

But Dallas didn’t want to change the offense, Callahan coaches a West Coast offense basically, so they got Linehan and effectively said Garrett wasn’t going to have an ‘ambiguous role’ and not touch the offense with Romo and Linehan..

I don't think there much doubt that JG had something to do with putting a bee in Jerry's bonnet about removing Callahan as their OC. Callahan was fully aware of the situation and ultimately acted upon his disgust over his humiliation. It's spilled milk now, so we're now left to make the best of it. No use in pining over something that we can no longer change, that's for sure. I think Jerry might possibly be kicking himself now in retrospect.
