I know Jerry isn’t going to get rid of his favorite puppet Red. Who becomes the sacrificial lamb, Linehan, Marinelli or both? I think Linehan needs to go. What think you?

Linehan and probably random guys like RB coach, TE coach, WE coach, or Wade Wilson...

Marinelli.

Garrett is a politician. And a pretty good one.

He knows that Linehan was his guy that he wanted to have brought in after Jerry forced him to get a play caller.

The offense is Garrett's and if he admits it is bad then he admits he failed. Garrett is a master at deflecting the blame from himself. It's never his fault, it's the injuries or Rob Ryan (who he personally okay'd to hire) or Romo audibled too much or Goodell got EE suspended, etc.

Look, we all know that all of them including the clapper should go directly west of El Paso but, few will go as Jerry cannot admit his many mistakes and his lack of
football management knowledge. We can harp for the next 6 months with little to no effect. There will be some scapegoats whose contracts are ending but, for the most
part many will slime their way back to the Jerry swamp.

I hope both. I think both offensively and defensively, we’re just way to conservative. I’m not sure who to bring in to fix that, but I think it needs to be done.

Marinelli.

I predict they can Marinelli to promote Eberflus.

I don’t expect them to get a new offense... easier to scapegoat the old man

I found it interesting that Caldwell was fired after a 9-7 season and the press is characterizing his tenure in Detroit this way:

Despite the winning record, Caldwell's tenure was characterized by a failure to show up in big games, repeated letdowns against good teams, and close losses coupled with botched game-management scenarios. The Lions have not won a playoff game since 1991, the second-longest active drought in the NFL, and went 0-2 under Caldwell.

Sounds alot like the red headed clapper in Dallas doesn't it?

I don’t believe we’re changing coordinators, but if we did, Linehan would be the guy. The reality is, though, the organization likes the current staff. No matter how much some fans don’t want to believe it’s true.

It would be interesting to see Eberflus's style of D. He's one of Rob Ryan's protégés but has spent the last 5 years coaching under Kiffin/Marinelli.

I think no one gets fired... Rod retires due to being 69 and Eberflus gets the nod as DC.

Continuity reigns again— but everyone enters on the hot seat and its playoffs or a full house cleaning.

Not saying I agree— just saying I think JJ thinks this team is closer to being a contender than it actually is— ergo making sweeping changes now stands a greater risk of disrupting the chance to win than maintaining the status quo.

Hate it— but we are in JJ’s version of “Groundhog Day”— for 22 years lol

Do you really think Linehan goes? I doubt Wilson goes unless he decides to retire. He is like the employee that has been around forever, but no one knows what he does. but they think he is needed for some reason and he stays around. Because if he is let go, people fear some things won't get done, even though they don't know what those things are.
LOL.

But yeah, a few position type coaches will go to appease the fans, so they think it will.

Very sad! But, probably right on. More years of drought and lackluster football in Dallas. A few more years of this and we might look exactly like Cleveland.

The reason we fell to 9-7 this year is not because our OC called the wrong plays. We fell to 9-7 due to subpar QB play. If Dak can make the needed improvements to his game we will be fine.
I can directly point to 3 games the Cowboys lost (GB, LA and SEA) that Switzer, TWill and the OC (3 runs on 1st and goal from the 3???) cost them. That would have made the Cowboys 12-4. Losing Tyron, Lee and Zeke hurt also.

Dak's play did slip. I'm not saying it didn't. But to put the slide from 13 wins last year to 9 wins this year all on Dak just isn't fair. We all agree Dak needs to make some improvements. Lets hope he has the proper guidance to achieve them.

You think putting entire games on 1 (or 3) plays is "fair?"

I think we would have heard rumblings by now if anyone other than low level staff was being let go. Marinneli already came out and said he wants to coach next year which he wouldn't have done if he were leaving. The reason that we aren't hearing anything about a specific person being let go is that they will all be here in 2018 imho.
