Which players, if any do you think are tradable?

Exclude Austin, Romo, Witten, Ware, Dez, Ratliff.

Are there any players you think we could trade in the offseason. If so, what do you think that player's value would be?

Can you see us letting go of say, Terrence Newman, for a solid FA tackle--a known quantity?

From what I understand anyone with value is too good to be traded and everyone that should be traded has no value.

Every player has a price..nobody is untradeable...not on this team

TECHNICALLY there are no untradeable players. Realistically Ware, Romo, and probably Dez and Miles are not going to be traded. Probably the same with Ratlif as well. Others could be traded if someone offered enough. Who we SHOULD trade is a better idea to discuss.

Now of course is the point- getting value. I am not sure that we can trade anyone and get real value. Barber has that contract; same with Roy, Tnew, Witten, etc. and even if we did try how much could we get? Probably less than the draft pick we would need to reasonably replace them.

Choice might be the only one to get real value and even then if we got a 3rd we would be doing well. Just not worth it.

T. Newman isn't going anywhere. I know posters get upset with him because he allows an occasional 50-yard bomb, but he's still better than many corners in the league, and you just can't find too many good corners.

Barber or/and Choice will be gone. Spears or Hatcher could be trade bait. I don't think Witten is indispensible but he's not going anywhere.

Other than that, I agree with The Count. There's really no one on our roster who would fetch much in a trade - aside from those players who we consider untouchables like Ware, Dez and Romo.

I still don't think Witten is untradable as much as I'd like him to be here. Barber will more than likely be gone, but I don't think he has any trade value.

3-8 teams usually don't have to many tradeable players.

Who is lining up to get players from a 3-8 roster?

Of course I am joking. :D

Yes it would be worth it we got him for a 4th he will be a FA after this so now is the time to strike if we stay with Barber he has no value on Special teams and if we are not going to use him get something for him

Spears is a FA so forget any trade. I think Hatcher is as well.

They should trade Barber for a low round pick.

When was the last time we came out ahead on a trade? Brady Quinn is pretty much it. Going by recent history, we'd probably end up giving up Barber and swap 7ths with a team or something equally useless.

Players still on rookie contracts/signed to good contracts:

Spencer
Bennett
Scandrick
Ball (RFA though)
Ratliff
Phillips
Butler
Jones
Jenkins
Choice
Bryant
Lee
Williams (LB)
Buehler

and on and on.

Didnt we trade up for Dez Bryant?

We traded Anthony Henry for Jon Kitna

Those were just right off the top of my head.

Jerry should be willing to at least hear offers for everybody but Romo and Dez.

Honestly, I think Witten should be in this conversation, simply because of what we have behind him with Marty B and John Phillips. He's the type of player I think Bill Belichick would see as that guy who has the most value, but clearly is starting the downswing of his career. If you wait a year, it might be too late. Witten has made enough of an impact this year that a late first to early 2nd would probably not be completely out of the question.

I realize this won't be a popular move with the fan's, but with dire needs on the OL (replace Leonard Davis and Marc Columbo), at Safety (either Ball or Sensabaugh - preferably both), corner (Terence Newman is clearly in the downswing of his career and therefore will not command much value in terms of a trade), and MLB (Bradie has always been average as a LB and Keith Brooking is clearly done), I think, overall, it would be a smart move.

Roy Williams is another that we could possibly move, but a late 2nd to early 3rd would be the most we could hope for in return.

Everyone has a price.

Austin- 2 firsts, 2 seconds. (infact less if one is a top 10 pick, then you grab AJ Green who is being hailed as the best prospect since C.Johnson, the best since R.Moss)
Dez- 2 firsts, 2 seconds. (infact less if one is a top 10 pick, then you grab AJ Green who is being hailed as the best prospect since C.Johnson, the best since R.Moss)
Romo- 2 firsts, 2 seconds. (less if you get within range of A.Luck, who is being hailed as the best QB prospect since our own T.Aikman by some)
Ware- 3 firsts, 2 seconds.

and so on. The price may be something no team would ever pay, but its their.

The only one not trade worth in my eyes would be Dez Bryant. Only because he's a Rookie with an unlimited sky. I'd also like to see what Lee can do. Outside of that, any of these busters can be traded at any time, depending on the price of course.

Romo should be worth more than any of those guys. Finding a franchise quarterback is the most difficult thing in football. Trading him, regardless of what we get for him short of another top flight quarterback, would be a setback.

Who would we trade?

No one wants any of our starting OL....no one wants our starting safeties or starting LB's....were not trading Dez or Austin....no one wants RW ...Witten is wearing down...but do we really want to trade him? and what would we really get?

Barber is the only one....maybe Choice....I would keep Jenkins and Newman....Scandrick is staying....IMHO....

We just need to have a solid draft....get our coaching staff in order and hopefully pick up some pieces in FA and cut some of the unproductive starters that we have on this team......

We will be on the right track....isnt like this team is a poor team......it still has some talent...
