For me it comes down to Ratliff, Ware and Witten and i'll go DeMarcus Ware.

That stated, I would have to consider first a blend of starters and soon to be starters.

I think the offense is inclusive, but the bell cows seem to be a trio of players. Those are Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, and Felix Jones.

On the defensive side, dominance to me...always included a strong set of linebackers. Here, I think that Keith Brooking is the forger of the steel, but Sean Lee will be a future equal of Chuck Howley on the field.

I've got to go to the pash rush next, and say that Anthony Spencer and DeMarcus Ware will equal the greatest of pash rushing pressures in the past, to include 'Too Tall', Harvey Martin, Bob Lilly, 'The Manster,' and 'Mr. Five Rings' as well....

As to Novacek, at what point with Dallas did he even lead the league as THE top tight end in the NFL? Garrison, led the league just how many seasons...oh yea, he said that he never saw Tom Landy smile, but had only been there for like eight seasons. Now as to hero worshiping, get a little more current with talent levels...as legends was NOT the topic raised.

It's just reality that DeMarcus Ware hasn't been around long enough to have Comic Books created to reverence his abilities in the league....

That is what I am talking about. Novacek and Garrison both own ranches, cattle, & horses. Both regularly wear boots, hats, and Wrangler jeans. Both drive pickup trucks for the most part. Both are avid hunters. Both are country music fans. Garrison was a rodeo cowboy.

If there is a current Dallas Cowboy who is a cowboy, I am unaware of who he is. Chuck Howley also owns a ranch and cattle.
