A win in either of these games would have us talking playoffs rather than hoping we'll make the playoffs with a win coupled with a Skins' or Panthers' loss.

So play along with me. Which one of these games do you think was most winnable, the one we absolutely should have won given circumstances, conditions and strategies.

I have no clue what the options are, but my vote is for the Commanders or Seahawks games anyway.

1) Seattle
2) Denver
3) Washington (in Dallas)

Washington, while lucky, beat us fair and square and the missed FG was just over 40 yards so it was not a gimme. But if Cortez makes an easy, EASY kick in Seattle the Seahawks have no chance to come back. The Denver game was similar but the Broncos may have become more desperate down by three with 7 minutes left and might have scored, but I doubt it.

Oakland and New York just plain beat us.

I would trade that Skins game we gave away with that win we stole from SD ANYDAY.

Heck-if this was the case, both us AND the Chargers would be in the playoffs.

Commanders at Cowboys (14-13)

No excuse for losing that game.......

1st 'Skins game, we hold them on third and 25, we win.

Yeah, worse was allowing Brunell to run for 23 yards without being touched, how is that possible?

Seahawks. We got 2 turnovers in teh redzone and got 3 points out of it. Pitiful!

we should have won the hawks and skins game! We dominated them and BP and payton with their ugly and often times assinine playcalling lost those game for us!

1) Washington- Up by 13 with three minutes left........you gotta close those games
2) SEA- Cortez missed a gimme from what.....29 yards!?! We go up and they try to rush to come back, and cant do it........that shoulda been a victory
3) Broncos- We had their run game shut down, we were doing everything right, Cundiff blows a gimme from inside 40 yards, and instead of us being up 3 with 7 minutes left, we were in a deadlock until OT and eventually lost

FG KICKERS have cost us many a games this season, that must be addressed in the offseason!!!!!!!!

deadskins-cowboys game

we was leading in the Commanders game for about 56 minutes, then they scored the game winning td.

All were winnable, the first four should have been wins if not for poor field goal kicking. I usually don't put much stock in the what if's, but it is not a stretch to say this team was a good field goal kicker away from 13-3.
