Danny White gettin' us to 3 straight NFC championship games and losing or Romo not being able to get us quite that far to begin with?

Losing 3 straight NFC Championship games because it opened the door for the 49ers to dominate for a decade while we missed an opportunity for another ring.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. What's worse for a fan to take?

I don't think the difference matters, if there's any. They both suck. That's the nature of losing -- it sucks.

I guess there's more heartbreak losing 3 Championship games but once that subsides, there's something to be said for getting there.

So I'll take White.

Interesting. On a side note, I wonder what percentage of Indy fans were watching Peytoin when he threw that playoff pick last year and thought, "we have seen this movie before." Would also be curiuous to ask Bills fans if they would prefer returning to winning as they did in the 90's only to know that they would lose in the end or to wallow in losing/mediocrity but winning say, 'ONE" championsip in a decade and sucking for the rest of the time.

Losing 3 straight championships in a row is heart-breaking. And I was around 9 thru 11 when those happened so I was in pure depression.

Being I've only seen Dallas win 1 Wildcard game in my nearly 20 years of fandom I'll take the NFC Championship games no questions asked. Maybe the older fans can't relate but the younger generation is starving for this team to have some success.

If you're trying to convince people who don't like Romo to like him, give up. And if you're trying to convince people who love him to stop, again, give up. This board is split down the middle on Romo. Guys in my group are people who are sick of excuses year after year. People in the Romo camp think that everyone around him sucks.

Can we discuss after both careers are over. One is still playing.

Mischaracterization but anything to end this stupid thread

Well, I think the Niners were going to be dominant in the 1980s regardless of whether the Cowboys appeared in those NFC title games or not.

I didn't start following the team until the Campo era so I don't know what it's like to lose a NFC Championship game.

I'd imagine it is a bittersweet experience seeing your team have a great year and fall one game short of getting to the Super Bowl.

I wouldn't mind experiencing that TBH.

I'll take deep playoff runs every time.
No comparison whatsoever, IMO.

Of course, those Danny White led teams were far better overall. That's something else though.

Had we beaten them we would have had a chance to get one of the championships they won.
