Which loss will hurt us more over the long run Detroit or New Orleans?

Both will count the same. With Rodgers out I expect Detroit to win the NFC North.

Detroit hurt me more personally though.

Definitely the Lions loss. Not only is it a game we should have won, but they're also a team that everyone in the NFCE plays (and so it will count toward the common opponents tiebreaker, and the division could very well come down to that), whereas the Saints are one of the two unique teams we play because of our 3rd place schedule, and so it will not count toward the common opponents tiebreaker.

None so far but this game in two weeks will be the turning point. Andre Brown is back and the Giants have found their running game. I am not sure how our defense is going to contain both him and Cruz. We need some bodies back sooner than later. NY has been putrid as well barely beating bad teams....kind of sounds like us now. They will be fired up, may not help them but they will be ready.

Last night's loss ended the illusion that we always play good teams close. It was an eye opener. Games like Detroit and Denver just obscure reality.

The Lions. First of all we had the game won. Secondly, in a year where we stripped Garrett of his play calling duties so he can show he is a REAL Head Coach with the skills to manage the clock, decide when to go for it or punt etc....we lose the in a manner that Garrett has lost several times since he took over this team. So losing the same way hurts even more because it shows he still has not grown much as a head coach.

Detroit. Because the Lions are a common opponent of all NFC East teams. The Saints are not.

The Detroit loss was much worse for me. The game was won and only the idiocy of Tanner and Smith resulted in a loss.

We never had a chance against the Saints. I knew that going in so last night didn't bother me as much. It just exposed how bad we really are.

I'm still not over the Detroit loss

The Lions loss really shifted us from being an NFC contender to a mediocre NFC team. It ruined the chance of this team being a #2 seed in the NFC. If we pulled out that game then we would've been 6-3 with a 4 game winning streak trucking into the Saint's dome, and our chances would've been a lot better. 7-3 or at worst 6-4 heading into the bye would've pretty much had this division wrapped up, but of course we found a way to blow it.

Detroit. Easy. We had no shot at all to win the Saints game and most had this as a loss before. Although I don't think anyone thought it would be this bad.

Detroit tore our hearts out. The Saints game just became comical.

Team looked to have quit last night. I see one win the rest of the way.
