Which NFC team(s)

Only 28% of the NFC Division winners have repeated the following year since 2003. Only 23% and 20% have repeated over the last 10 and 5 years respectively. Which NFC team will repeat next year? My money is in NO at this point.

Similarly, only 42%, 45% and 43% of NFC playoff teams make the playoffs the following year. Which 3 2019 playoff teams will be left out in the cold next year? I’m thunking Philly, Seattle and Minnesota. Maybe 4 teams repeat, but that’s a real outlier because it’s only happened twice since 2003.

Too early. Predicting now would be guess work. This would be an excellent question after the draft and free agency. Ill still be wrong. But at least I'll have something to work with.

It's definitely guessing at this point. The draft and free agency have some impact, but I suspect the greater impact comes from injuries.

I guess my main point is there's a team or two every year that are anointed as the team(s) of the future, yet they historically have less than a 50/50 chance of making the playoffs the following year. And in the NFC, being the Super Bowl loser has been a death sentence. Teams get on a roll and things just click and ole mo' takes over. But that doesn't carryover year to year.

I say GB does not repeat. They overachieved this year. Statistically, they should have won 11 games.
