Which one player are you rooting for most this season?

Of course we’re all rooting for our entire team to have a great season, but which single player would you say you’d most like to see have success this year?

For me, it’s Tyler Guyton.

Left tackle is one of the key positions on any NFL team. If you have a good one, it goes a long way toward having a successful offense.

And I think the young man has been working hard to develop and improve. I’d like to see that work pay off for both him and the team.

If he becomes the player we all hope, I think the offense can reach new heights.

Flournoy.

He's on the cusp of being really good. Just not sure HOW he's gonna do it with GP and CD in front of him. He has to make the most of his opportunities and play nearly perfect. Rootin for him!

Guyton is a good choice. I have one on defense. Sam Williams. I don't know why I root for this guy but I do. As a rookie, despite his dumb mistakes at times, he showed an ability to rush the passer and stop the run. If he can get reach the potential he showed then, while continuing to avoid the dumb mistakes, it will greatly benefit the Cowboys defense.

If I had to put a probability for success on both of these guys, I would give Guyton a 50% and Williams a 60%. If both show improvement the Cowboys will be a much better team.

Jayden Blue.
For all the flack he has taken from fans in here the past year.
I would like to see him step up. And be factor in the offense.

Caleb Downs.
To become a feared defensive player type that sets the defense apart as they improve into a top 10 defense. Though that may not happen this season.

IF he miraculously catapults his play to a consistent NFL starting left tackle it will be one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, factors to this team's winning and losing games.

Definitely. I think he will be fine if he can stay healthy. Pro-Bowler? No, but sufficient enough.

Problem is if the injury bug hits an already questionable position hard, it’s tough to overcome, but I suppose that could be said for most positions on most teams…..but when it’s left tackle on a team whose strength is supposed to be offense, it’s not really what you want. I’d get Decker in here immediately, but I guess they want their return on what was invested in Guyton, and are apparently willing to stake the season on it.

And I’m not his biggest supporter by any means. He drives me crazy with his big game meltdowns. But with this years schedule being a lot harder, this team needs him to finally break through against the league’s best. No more slow starts, no back breaking picks, no more holding the ball too long,,

I'm sorry Stash but there's just too many moving parts in football to just pick one player. Best I can do is pick one side of the ball. I'll go defense as the unit I'm most rooting for.

As crazy as it may sound from me, but Dak. I am rooting that he can get over his mental block in the playoffs and be the QB this teams needs him to be to get to the big dance. Nothing else matters if Dak is the same ole Dak come playoff time, we will be out of the running pretty quickly.

I agree with Guyton. I am definitely not a fan, think he's on bust watch, and that this is his last chance but if he responds and can turn in a decent season he'd have my utmost respect (and that's worth a lot, lol).

He does need to do that. Sort of step it up a notch in SPECIFIC situations. I think the one other thing he needs to do is trust his legs. He doesn't have to be Lamar Jackson. Just pick a few spots and burn them for it. The defense will have to start accounting for it.

Used to be a much needed strength for him. Now...meh.
