Which one player are you rooting for most this season?

Man I could go with a lot of players here. But I will go with…
Javonte Williams. If he regresses back to 800-900 yards and no one steps up behind him we’re in trouble.

Pickens- I want to see another year. This past season he was a monster and still felt like that wasn’t even his best.

Overshown- Kid is a flat out superstar when he’s healthy.

Any of the OLB’s- Someone needs to be that 10-12 sack guy.

I'm sorry Stash but there's just too many moving parts in football to just pick one player. Best I can do is pick one side of the ball. I'll go defense as the unit I'm most rooting for.

Just a TF opinion not meant to detail thread ;)
I think some people are misunderstanding the question. Stash is asking us to pick our Pet Cat. Not who's gonna save the Super Bowl game.

We all have our favorite players to one extent or another. I don't think it needs to be ...say CeeDee. Pick one (or 2 or 3)....that you'd like to see "break out". Overshown is a good example. How can you not root for success for him?

Not trying to be difficult Steve but I really don't have favorite players. I understood what's Stash was asking but found it impossible to answer. Most are giving more than one name.
What do you call 53 pet cats?
The Dalles Cowboys ;)

I have a few. It would be great to see Overshown stay healthy and have a great year. I'd love to see Revel bounce back and prove his poor play was more injury related. Same for Bland. I'd love to see Blue blow up and have a monster year. And there are others too, Barham, Beebe, Guyton, Flournoy.

But if I have to choose just one guy, I'd say EZRockU is my top choice. If he can put it together and give us that flat out edge rusher that can get home, that would go along way to fixing this defense.

Of course we’re all rooting for our entire team to have a great season, but which single player would you say you’d most like to see have success this year?

For me, it’s Tyler Guyton.

Left tackle is one of the key positions on any NFL team. If you have a good one, it goes a long way toward having a successful offense.

And I think the young man has been working hard to develop and improve. I’d like to see that work pay off for both him and the team.

If he becomes the player we all hope, I think the offense can reach new heights.
It is not so much as rooting for, but my tentative expectations are Guyton as well. That has not changed since he has drafted.

I have a few disagreements with an old Bucky Brooks ranking (link), with one of them being left tackle. Guyton's position is the second most important position behind quarterback in my opinion. If you cannot adequately protect your quarterback's blind side, then you are not adequate for the job.

So, I will be doing the same as I have the past two seasons when Dak Prescott drops back to pass, namely adjusting my eyes immediately to Guyton and see how well he is blocking. Hopefully, experience will aid his improvement in a big way.

Interesting.

Even most parents have their pet child. They might not admit it but it's natural.

We all..of course...hope for the entire team's success.

Jayden, blue
As much as I want the rookies to succeed, I remind myself, their rookies

offense...dak.
i want him to lead this team to a ring.

defense...caleb downs.
i want him to be THAT guy back there that settles everything down and be a play magnet.

Javonte, he showed promise, hoping he can improve this year.
Dak, he's healthy and has two stud WR's
Caleb. Out the gate hope he wrecks teams.
