Which one player are you rooting for most this season?

Malachi Lawrence......

I think he's the key if we are gonna have any success on defense. He needs to be the guy that gets to the QB....I'm not counting on Gary or Eze...Just don't think they can be that dominate like Lawrence...

George Pickens ! Not sure which Pickens will show up . The guy who gave 100 % and was a game changer with his ability to make incredible catches and draw pass interferience penalties or the negative guy who just went through the motions and was a non-factor .

Downs. He is the stud we need to take the next step. Still remember the draft threads where certain people kept saying no chance we trade up for him for no reason other than he is a safety and it hasn't been a common occurrence to trade up for a safety as if all situations are equal. Simple minds have simple thoughts.
I think Guyton is the number one answer here on offense, if he comes into his own Dallas will be much better offensively. Downs is my pet cat on the defensive side of the football for sure followed closely by Barham and Lawrence, this team has improved. I am excited for the season.

Guyton, Overshown, and Ezeiruaku are all guys I'm pulling for to have big seasons because they all can be season changing contributors with breakout years.

The Cowboys also need to have a great season from the player who plays the most important position which is Dak. Would love to see him backup the Super Bowl is the goal talk. The fan base has been divided on Dak, but we all know his success is critical to team success.
I would love to see Dak win one and get that monkey off his back. This would ensure some respect from true Cowboys fans as well as the league. This would solidify Dak as a great quarterback in the eyes of many, he has a strong roster around him.

Lawrence wasn't dominant in college at all.

It'll take 2-3 years for him.

Easy.

Downs.

Dallas hasn't drafted a complete player like him since Emmitt Smith.

Fair point

For me its Barham.

Should pr6be zcaleb Downs, he unlocks the system. Maybe its just blind naivety that zi dont worry about him.

Barham though will need to have a productive first year.

On offense it’s Guyton. He’s the only question mark on offense. We know what the other guys bring.

LT is the second most important position on offense, and if Guyton doesn’t pan out we’ll be looking at spending a 1sr round pick or a ton of money on one next year.

On defense it is Ezeirauku. I could go with a number of guys here, but I’ll go with the pass rusher.

Of course we’re all rooting for our entire team to have a great season, but which single player would you say you’d most like to see have success this year?

For me, it’s Tyler Guyton.

Left tackle is one of the key positions on any NFL team. If you have a good one, it goes a long way toward having a successful offense.

And I think the young man has been working hard to develop and improve. I’d like to see that work pay off for both him and the team.

If he becomes the player we all hope, I think the offense can reach new heights.
Right there with you Stash. If they get good, consistent play from him, teams ain’t gonna know what to do.

Me too. We need competency there badly.

My close 2nd is Malachi. We desperately need him to become a double digit sack guy. Or EZ.
