Glad we re-signed Gurode and now Gramatica. Hopefully we also soon Colombo soon. In FA we've been able to upgrade OL with addition of Davis at RG & added backup QB Brad Johnson. Which other positions in FA should we considering addressing?

Know everybody has ideas all the way from Joey Porter to Donnie Edwards to FS Kasevre(sp?) but think next priority should be vet backup to Ferguson if one is out there. There several DTs available but some not suited to our 3-4. Anybody have suggestions who Cowboys will/can target in FA to alternate with Ferguson--either long-term should Ferguson get hurt/retire down the road -- or only for 1-2 years until a younger player is ready?

I have a feeling if Dallas can sign Colombo that could pretty much be the end to FA for us this season.

i think it would to. dallas doesnt really have many holes. next yr with the age of some of these guys might be a different story. but the cap will be so high it wont make a difference.

We may be about done for this year, Im 50/50 on if we are bringing back Colombo not to be confused with me not wanting him back for he would greatly help our draft capabilities. As for our percieved holes

WR- Crayton is basically back - - We will most likely draft a receiver in round 1-3

Back up QB- Brad Johnson is perfect, we didn't pay too much, and he will help Romo grow, we may draft a prospect QB round 6-7 or go with Baker.

OL- Davis is versatile, but Colombo would be wonderful- if no Colombo look for Blaylock at 22 possibly. Or Levi Brown in the ever more unlikely scenario that he drops in the draft some.

Safety/Corner- this depends on where henry goes, look for one in round 1-3

And were done!?

as far as young guys who are visiting multiple teams and are in line for big $, I'd agree.

But I'd think we are going to be players in the 2nd tier FA market - guys out there like Edwards and Polk who don't seem to be getting much play and have a history with Wade are obvious targets and I think Jerry and Wade have a big list of cheaper guys they'd want a look at.

I'd really like to get a legit back up NT. I really do not think we have one right now. Ratliff is still more of a DE to me, and a nickel DT. Alfonso Boone would probably be too expensive, but a guy like Lional Dalton could be had for a decent price.

Also...I have always been intrigued by CB Curtis DeLoatch...the Saints released him, but I would take a flyer on him.

I don't think so. Glenn is more likely to be gone IMO.

As the others said...If Colombo is signed than I think we are done.

Someone mentioned a backup NT and I would add a backup Center.

But honestly I don't know who is available out there and figure those are areas we will look at in the draft.

True but I would not be surprised to see any moves like that to take place after the draft.

If Dallas brings in another QB it will be through the draft. No way Dallas will grab 2 QB's in FA.

Withrow is out there...former Charger, but he will cost some IMO. Stepanovich was released byt the Cards and we could go the vet route with Tobeck...who we had some interest in previously.

I'd have to agree.. Can't see letting a young productive Crayton go while keeping a older Glenn next year..
