Which player do you think will have a BIG showing vs. Houston?

The first game was a little Romo, Fowler and Tyson Thompson.
Last game was Ware, Beriault, and Crayton.
Who do you think will make themselves standout this weekend?

I'm going to say Tyson Thompson, if he gets enough touches. And I think Burnett and Keith Davis will make some notable plays.

I think Crayton will continue to show he is no fluke. I look for Thompson to have a good showing with Barber nursing an injury I think Thompson will get ample carries on the night. I would like to see more progress from our young QB's

Wouldn't it be nice to have a clearcut #2 at QB for a change?
Hey I can dream, can't I?

Yes it would. But hey I'm a patient man. I still think both of these guys can improve from where they are right now.

I don't look for Tyson Thompson to do much against the Houston defense, a defense that will probably at least be aware of his speed...I still don't look for him to make the team unless he really turns it up on special teams.

Despite everyone looking to the younger kids, I think the guy who may play better and stand out this week is Drew Bledsoe. It's time for him to play a little looser and start flinging the football and show something....he's not a bus driver...that's not his style....he was brought here to pass the football, and I hope this is his breakout preseason game....if not, I look for him to start slowly in the regular season as well....I"m hoping for a big performance in the first half.

I think it's Bledsoe too, IF Bill treats preseason game 3 more like the stereotypical 'dress rehearsal" he usually does, that is.

But Tuna's so deep into hiding mode this year, I won't be that surprised to see him curtailing Drew's game once again.

What's so freaking secret about a deep passing attack, I just can't figure. Are they going to do it on roller blades? :)

I hope Ware shows up big again. Then we can go ahead and put him in canton on opening week-end.

If...by chance, Thompson does not make our team, I'm fairly certain that he will make another team though, and I don't think he'll be without a team for very long at all.

BRILLIANT!
So that's how BP plans to compensate for our lack of speed at WR.
Who said Keyshawn isn't fast?

My problem is with how tight Bledsoe looks, uncomfortable....he really choked up on that little outlet pass he threw into the ground at JJ's feet when he was wide open.

I just want to see the game plan opened up a little for him, so he can get in a flow and not be so tense when the first game rolls around and we need him to throw it.

If Romo gets some decent playing time, HE BETTER NOT MAKE ANY STUPID THROWS.

I'd like to see a little Kenyon Coleman action. I'd like to see if the corners can cover these decent Houston receivers. I'd like to see Keyshawn and Terry get into the act a little bit too.

It is funny because I think we have had one pass to Glenn in two games...and we know both the QB and Bill know glenn can get open per BPs words.

I will go with others and say T.Thompson since he did not get to play last week at RB and Crayton as it is my opinion they are getting him as much works as possible because the odds say glenn will miss time in the season....notice he is playing glenns position instead of the faster morgan while morgan is playing Keys position...kind of direct opposite type players for the positions.

As a Cowboys fan that lives in Houston,,, I have had a chance to watch some of the TEXANs pre-season fotball action..

Quick thoughts..

Don't think we have to worry at all about their RUN game.Their feature back Dominick Davis.. isn't fast ,, he is just elusive,, with our BIG LB's now,, they should be able to meet him head on with a seek & destroy mentality...

Houston will more than likely dump it off to him in the flat.. ALOT.. this might cause some concerns..

Their biggest offensive weapon is.. Andre Johnson.. Big, fast, physical...not sure but I think he is about 6'2" 210 ( runs about a 4.3 - 4.4 ).. A. Glen should give plenty of info on his weakness to T.New or A.Henry..

To keep D. Carr upright,, Houston will probably do alot 3 - 5 step drops to get the ball oout.. Also,, since they run a base 3-4 defense ,, Houston will be used to it..

As for as the BOY's on offense.. Gotta get the run game going .. J.Jones will be the best back on the field ,,and the O-line needs to give him some room to RUN..

Protect Bledsoe,,Houston has a big/ fast physical OLB.. named A. Peek .. that we need to keep in check. He will be going against Flozell.. So ,,I know he can't overpower him,, but he will try to out quick him..

Houston is currently starting a rookie a SS ,, so look for Witten to have a big day or to be double teamed.. which if double teamed,, someone else will get single coverage.

Since this is our first game on turf, I will say our speed guys; Thompson, Ware, T.Glenn (and by extension Bledsoe), and Newman in the slot

I would add JJ to that list of speed players. He does well on the fast turf in Seattle, & it's real. Also, I think if Spears can get enough practice in this week, he will be on a mission in the game, if allowed to play.

Baby steps.

First you learn to walk.

Poor Bill is trying to discover if he has an OL to run behind and someone who can do it in case JJ goes down.

I think he got his answer last week so you should see him open things up a bit and test our new RTs ability to pass protect as well as run.

He has many more concerns on defense.
