In the beginning it seemed Prince Amukamara was the pick according to many mock drafts around the internet. Now it seems Tyron Smith is the pick. Out of all the mocks you have seen, which #9 pick in your opinion has the best chance to be a bust?
Tyron Smith
Prince
JJ Watt
etc......

I'm sticking with PP. He's naturally 220lbs. He only lost weight to ease fears of him being to big to play CB. He'll revert to his natural size in a year or two, and then he'll be too big to be effective at CB. And, he doesn't have the instincts or tackling ability to play S. He'll outgrow his position just like RW. JMO

Personally, I from what I'm hearing about Smith he is still pretty raw. I never seen Smith play a live game so I don't know. Saying that, I just don't want to see the boys spend a #9 on a project type player. I also agree with the above analysis on Prince.

probably Peterson. Like a poster mentioned earlier his size as a corner is something that we have to worry about. Is he going to be Roy Williams who came in the same size as Peterson when he was drafted and ballooned to 235 or can he maintain his weight like a Darren Woodson and play at 218 his whole career?

I think any of them could be I think where a team really has to dig down deep and do their home work is on the work ethic each player has shown over their college careers.

If Cam Newton is drafted in the top 10 (hell, I should say 1st round.) He is 1A.

After that I would say AJ Green or Patrick Peterson. I think Fairley has to much talent to be a complete bust, but I believe his laziness will hurt his career big time.

I would say Solder too, I think of all the OL with a possibility to be drafted in the first round, he has the biggest bust potential. I just don't think he is the biggest as I don't think he gets drafted till late first round at best.

Solder for me.

I don't think Tyron Smith will be a bust at all unless he is just lazy.

I'd go with him too. To be an especially big bust, you have to be very highly touted. He's higher than most.

There is the size issue and questions about his smarts.

LSU products are often underwhelming, IMO (with the exception of a few, like Bowe).

Agree. I see more Antrell Rolle and Roy in him than Darrell Revis. He'll get too big, move to S, and here his weaknesses will be exposed.

I would list Newton, but I think the writing's on the wall with him and we all kind of expect that to happen.

I'm going with Cam Newton & Nate Solder

There's some others I wont be surprised to see flame out, but these two are the very top of my list.

I think I'd go with Cam Newton as well. I mean, at some point, one of these amazingly gifted athletes will live up to expectations and be revolutionary at the QB position but I just think this kid is not the one. JMO of course.

Easy question, easy answer. Whom ever Dallas picks will most likely tank,as in the past upper picks. Hoping not but just saying.

Other than Bobby Carpenter, not many Cowboy first round picks lately have "tanked". Certainly havent been many as bad as he was, even over the entire history of the franchise.

2003, Newman, 2005 Ware & Spears, 2006 Carpenter, 2007 Spencer, 2008 Jones and Jenkins, 2010 Bryant

I think that 2008 has the potential to be in that category. If Jones turns out to be nothing more then a 3rd down back and if Jenkins doesn't recover to his prior form, that could certainly be called a bust.
