IF he returns, Glenn will be rejoining a receiving corps of Witten, Owens and Crayton, which is third in yards per game (behind only Detroit & Green Bay), second in touchdowns (behind New England) and first in 1st down percentage. While the Patriots, who have benefitted from having all their receiving threats remain healthy all season, are being hyped as having the best offense in the league, the Cowboys' receivers have had a huge impact on Dallas becoming the #1 offense in yards per game--without Glenn. Should Glenn, one of the league's top deep threats, return to the lineup, just how good can this offense get?

The team's run defense has steadily improved through four games. Since the loss of Jason Ferguson, the run defense has also benefitted from the offense's execution, scoring points, building leads, and forcing opponents to play catch up and abandon the run. Ratliff has done an admirable job filling in, but his strength is rushing the passer--not stopping the run. Inserting Johnson in the middle will force teams to stop successfully gashing the middle as often. The run D should improve noticably.

Glenn or Tank? Your take?

What, no both as an option? I think each guy helps boost their side of the ball I guess if I had to take one over the other I would say Tank because of the lack of depth at that position.

No 'both as an option'. Both players should have positive impacts, I'm just wondering who's will be greater. My guess is Glenn and I say that without dismissing any of Tank Johnson's contribution to the defense.

I choose Glenn because if he does return he at least knows the offense and the QB. Tank will be learning a new scheme.

Fortunately Dallas is not looking at either guy to be a savior or fill a critical need. They can help the team, but as we see Dallas is doing okay without them.

I seriously have doubts about T. Glenn's return this season.

I like Glenn and welcome another weapon no doubt about it but Ratliff at NT with not a lot of help behind him should get a lot of help from Tank. Playing the NT position there is not a lot to learn

The passing offense is scary good now. Just how much better will it be with Glenn (and it SHOULD be even better than now) in the lineup? That's what prompted me to post the poll because I see Tank Johnson plugging up the defense and immediately improving the defensive front seven against the run.

But just think... what will opposing defensive coordinators do to counter Witten, Owens, Crayton... AND Glenn? After watching this offense the first four weeks, I'm in awe of its potential because it hasn't peaked. The league's so-called best offense in New England has. That's my take.

Yeah, me too, but don't try and burst my bubble just yet.:

Agreed. And Johnson's insertion should make Canty and Spears even more of a factor upfront since OLs will have to make certain that Tank draws double-teams.

I believe in you Terry Glenn. :)

I know what this thread needs! It needs some videos of him! YEAH!!!

Say, where's Eduncan when you really need him? :(

:)

well if mr. tg comes back, we know what we can get from him. speed and hands, mins that seattle game in the playoffs :(.

with tj its a complete mistery, he hasn't played the 3-4 in the pro's before, hes coming off a what 10-12 game suspension.

if i were a betting man, and i am, i'd put my $ on TG (if he is able to return)

Definetely Tank, we need another impact rusher. They'll be so busy lookin for Ware, Spencer, and Ellis..that Tank will have an easier time gettin to the QB.

how much better can we really be on Offense even with TG in there...? Really, I think his impact is marginal at this point, and actually could DETRIMENT the rhythm we play with right now with Witt getting more balls and moving T.O. around. TG is terrific but i like our continuity right now more than adding another big play dimension... Terry situationally rotated with Sam or Patrick could be a real kink in any defense's plans...

OTH, Tank will come in and force QB's sideways with regularity to escape his pocket collapsing bullrush... and Ware and Ellis and Spencer will feast like lions in the veldt....

I say Tank.

gotta go with Tank. If terry comes back and that is a big if, will he even be 100%?
