Which position scares you the most on this current roster?

They did trade for Phillips at the deadline to try to upgrade their rush.
And they also traded for Greenard this offseason. I’m not saying they couldn’t use improvement, I’m saying that it didn’t stop them from being a Super Bowl caliber defense.

CBs - i just don't trust the health of Bland and Revel.

Bland has been plagued with foot problems .. and we dunnno of Revel will return to previos form per his ACL injury in college.

and then we're down to Durant, .. rookie CB Moore, ..and .ACL concerning Butler, .. and a bunch of slot gusy ? (ala childress, bridges, stewart, etc.)

OT on both sides is what worries me the most. And i think rightfully so. Both of our tackles are bad and that didnt improve over the last 2 years. So its to be expected that this will be the same this year.

The biggest questionmark to me are pass rush (especially the Edge/OLB position) and CB.

It has to be seen how Parker will implememt his new scheme and use our new edge players. So i have some hope that our pass rush will be at least acceptable.

CB is a big issue right now. Revel is not NFL material. Bland is very good as a slot CB but average and misused outside. Besides that we have nothing really promising. I doubt Downs will lose 10 pounds to be able to cover top WRs.
Dak has played well with poor tackle play in the past, yes, it is a concern but not the highest in my opinion. Pressure/coverage go hand in hand, if one struggles it is usually cause the other.

I agree. Eagles were a carbon copy of us last season, although it was the other side for them-offense.

I think we will be talking about adding a top flight corner next offseason, just don't see a true #1 on the roster.

it's extremely key that we have Plan B. WHEN Guyton gets injured or plays poorly . thus far the game plan B is to go wih Nat Thomas who was very mediocre in that role in '25.

i can only tthink should we have OG Tyler Smith be able to flex to LT in a pinch ,.. or take a hard look at rookie Drew Slanton in thus summer and cross your fingers that he imprresses that much .?

Successful teams can protect the QB and get after the QB.

OTs (Guyton and Steele) and Edge are the biggest concerns for me followed very closely by ILB/MLB.

I never said we needed a dominate pass rush. Im advocating for getting pressure from edge.

You’ve been talking up the nebulous ‘pressure’ numbers the whole time. How would that happen without a dominant pass rush’?
If they are 15th in pressure that’s not dominant but it’s sure an improvement over 30th. I never said dominant or top 10. I’m just saying be able to generate pressure. I don’t feel they did when they traded Micah.

Reportedly, Shelton looked good in some LT reps, where Thomas was backing up Steele. Let's see how he plays in camp when the pads go on. Yes, they still have the Tyler option, but that appears their last resort scenario.

okay i hear ya, .. but about this very upcoming season in '26 ?
I think we are going to see growing pains. Big season for Bland or he won't be on the roster next season barring injury.

Yeah we have to be realistic on Gary. He was on the verge of getting cut for a reason. Maybe a change of scenery was needed or a new voice in the coaching room. I hope so.
When you look at all the pass rushers signed this offseason, Gary had the most career sacks of all of them. No, he isn't an elite pass rusher, but it is far to expect at 8 sack plus type of season.
