Some said Brady.
Some said Wilson.

Actually the clutch and poise reminds me of Joe Montana, though Montana did not play much as a rookie.

Aikman.

Low risk style. Not afraid to throw it away. Game based on intermediate throws with great accuracy/timing on short throws and then take an occasional shot with the deep throw.

Pocket passer with good awareness of pass rush. Moves around only when necessary.

Aikman was more accurate than Dak but Aikman was more accurate than just about all QBs past or present.

Dak has the advantage of being able to run the occasional read-option.

He reminds me a whole lot of Warren Moon.... with more running ability. Of course Dak's passes aren't perfect spirals all the time, like Warren's were.

Not at all Brady.
Maybe an Alex Smith (mobile, good decisions) but with better weapons and a version that goes down field a bit more.
Maybe a little bit of Wilson, but taller and slower.

Hard to say.
Dak is kind of his own guy.

He reminds me of Aikman with McNabb's ability to run. He actually looks just like McNabb when he's running, but his decision making abilities are just like Aikman's.

I mostly remember Montana throwing short passes to Jerry Rice and then watching Rice run a long way. Dak does not have Jerry Rice or anybody remotely close to him. The closest thing Dak has is Beasley who can convert a 3rd-and-9 on a 1 yard pass.

This is funny to me only because I was just thinking of Montana and Dak parallels yesterday and I thought I might be the only one to think such a thing.

For the most part Dak doesn't throw lasers, he throws a more finessed pass, which Coach Bill Walsh was a big fan of. Sometimes those bullets can be harder to catch and are more easily deflected into interceptions.

Montana threw very well on the move especially moving to his right and Dak is the same way.

He's like a blend of Brady and Wilson.

for me, Dak's calm, decision making and accuracy when the game is on the line it is scary - particularly in the last 3 minutes of the game.
that is better than Young, Moon, Wilson, Cunningham, McNair, Brees.

that is what gets him in the same discussion as brady, montana and the locked-in aikman in the superbowls

I can see a lot of Aikman's mentality, but the Aikman's calm/clutch and accuracy showed up later - took a few years.
I would disagree with that.

AIkman had it, he just couldn't show it until the OLine was fixed.
