Last year #2 and #3 (Joseph and Dunbar) played Special Teams.

If Joseph is # 1 or has significant carries as #2, then does he play ST?

Did Michael play ST in Seattle?

I don't see McFadden playing ST unless he returns kicks.

I've wondered that myself. McFadden is an injury waiting to happen, so I doubt they risk him to special teams, but I could be wrong. Dunbar will probably be feature in just about every special team unit. Given the depth the Cowboys now have with Michaels, I could see Randle continue in his ST roles from last year. Alot depends on how they feel about Michaels, though, as a running back. I don't follow teams outside of Dallas, so I couldn't telly you if Michaels is capable. But given his size, speed and strength, I would imagine he could do it...and do it pretty well.

I think only Dunbar will play teams this season.

That will make gameday inactives tough at RB. May be week to week between McFadden and Michael by midseason.

Whoever plays ST will not be inactive. Methinks that is added incentive for all the backs to contribute as more than just RB.

Mcfadden is the starter....Micheal is not going to start...this isn't Madden..

Dmac should return kicks but he probably will break into tiny little pieces on the first kickoff.

I figure Randle will be the starter. Primarily because McFadden has to prove he can stay healthy especially in a run heavy offense like Dallas'. You're correct though...this isn't Madden so four RB's aren't likely to be active on game day.

Randle is the starter so he won't likely play ST
Dmac won't play ST
Dunbar will play ST
And they will be the only 3 active, at least the first game

Not sure what the team would do, but if I'm wasting an extra roster spot on a RB, then everybody who can give me anything on STs is giving me something on STs. I'd be working Randle on coverage units as soon as Michael is up to speed. If he gets hurt, he gets hurt and we roll with someone else in the RB rotation.

If they take Randle off the ST's units that will be a HUGE loss IMO. He's one of the best and you lose him and Harris in the same year expect to see a lot of what we saw this PS!
