I know this has been beat to death because we don't have a need at corner and also the history of dealing with his agents, but Ty Law would be the 'sexy pick' to play in Big D next season. Not only because he would be reunited with Bledsoe, but he would have a chance add to his collection of superbowl rings.

But that's still a longshot so I will say Fabini. Yes he's coming of an injury, but he's a wily veteran and I think he's worth signing and would be an immediate upgrade over Petitti. He also provides depth and insurance if Flozell isn't 100%.

I think Fabini is the best fit of all the tackles. He's a veteran with experience. He's a Parcells guy. He can play on the left side or the right side. His presence won't interfere with the young players who might have a future.

How about Jerald "Stud"well?

DeWayne Robert"stud"?

Victor Hob"stud"?

Or, my favorite, Derrick "Stud"lock?

No question Fabini. In fact I believe Jerry Jones was spotted grilling cheeseburgers at Fabini's house as early as last night.

I would sign all of them, change our uniforms to green and white with a green star and the little patriot guy logo in the middle.:lmao: :lmao2: :laugh2:

Wait a minute......

How about the patriot logo facing the green star kinda like the cover of 2112?

Yes Sowell would be a solid pick up as well and would be yet another weapon for Drew to utilize. He's averaged 40 receptions and 311 yards a season over the last 3 years. We could use a safety valve and hardnosed blocker!

Well, if we sign Fabini, that pretty much guarantees a safety or LB in round one.

please...here is another classic case of somebody being enfatuated with a "name"

the guy hasnt played a game in two+ yrs, he's played in the league since 1998 and missed FOUR and a half seasons of games

he isnt worth the league minimum, let alone is he any better than our losers like Pettiti and Tucker

Just curious....why would you make this up? Do you have Fabini confused with someone else? He got injured last year and missed 7 games. Before that he had gone 5 full seasons without missing a game and has missed 14 games total in 8 years. He's a decent player.

My guess would be he's thinking Colombo but then Colombo came out in 2002.

Brain fart.

Sowell can be had for a reasonable price and Fabini could cost more than he's worth. With Fabini, we'd have long-term commitments to 4 OL starters over the age of 30. If Dallas could make Mawae or Fabini a short term solution then I'd be all for it.

The Jet I most want is John Abraham! Ironic how there is an ex-Jet for nearly every one of Dallas' needs:

RT: Jason Fabini
C: Kevin Mawae
FS: Ty Law
OLB: John Abraham
FB: Jerald Sowell

Watch them cut Laverneous Coles to round out all the Cowboys needs.

I think dbair is (rightly) asking us to quell the enthusiasm in the event that we sign him. The Ryan Young fiasco is reason enough.

Lecharles BEASTley is going to be tough to sign since he's among the biggest names this year and many other teams will be in pursuit of his services. But I think Mawae would definitely be a solid 'plan B'. He's gettin up there in years, but I'm sure he has enough left to start at center for a couple of more seasons. Then we can keep either Johnson or Garude and develop them.

I also also would kill to see Law playing FS, highly unlikely it's going to happen though unless he takes far less money to come here.
