A. The Cowboys sneaking into the playoffs as a wild card and going on an improbable run to win their sixth Super Bowl.

OR

B. The Cowboys finish with a losing season and Jerry Jones ends up selling the team

I promise not to judge you one way or another, but you do have to reveal how tempted you are by the choice you didn't pick.
I have zero respect for anyone that wants to lose. So, I pick A

Interesting takes so far! I posted this thread because this whole offseason I've been on the fence on where the Cowboys are headed. I get/understand the whole side of the argument for wanting another SB trophy and not wanting to tear down rebuild a team that has had three 12-5 records in a row, not wanting to throw Dak away after an MVP type of season, etc. But I'm also painfully aware that 35 years of the Jones family has more than run its course. I do believe it's past time for a major culture change. So I asked the question of if it came down to having to choose one over the other. It's not an easy question to answer, IMO. I actually support some of the offseason moves, revamping the OL, hiring Zimmer, etc. But whenever I see Jerry or Stephen speak, I can't help but feel the Jones family need to be kicked to the curb. They stand in the way of getting a HC/GM duo that can come in and overhaul a culture that is so badly needed!

I don't just hate Jerry and Stephen, I hate their wives, their children, their parents, grandparents, their entire family tree.

I want to chainsaw the family tree down and rent a stump grinder and grind it out of existence.

Sure, I'll play. I'd take A. I don;t care how they win a Super Bowl or who is behind it. Just give me the Super Bowl. Then I could take the Joneses for a few more years.

There is no Guarantee with B anything good is going to happen. It may end up more of the same. See panthers and few other teams having gone through same thing.

I take cash at hand over promises of the future riches.

Jerry selling one superbowl won't offset the damage we will take for years
They can have the lightning in a bottle wild card run after 30 years that isn't sustainable. I want to get back to being what they used to be and that can't happen under this family.

At this point I prefer the Manson family.

I'm not one to think that this team is capable of miracles but conversely, I'd like nothing more than to win a SB. (I.E., I'm torn.) :star:

LOL you can't achieve that level of passionate hatred without falling in love first.

I'll take winning the division and getting the 1 or 2 spot and advancing in the playoffs. A better chance of that happening.

We know the Cowboys can win a SB with Jerry because it's been done. He just needs to hire the right coach. In no universe will this team win anything with Dak.. so I'm opting for
c) losing season and Dak gets released.

I would take A.

HOWEVER, if the question was:
A. A Superbowl win this year
B. Jerry sold the team 27 years ago?

That is a no brainer!

I agree that your scenario is more likely to happen, but that's not the topic of this thread. The instructions are simple, choice A or choice B, pick one. Not waaaaaahhhh I don't like the choices so I'm gonna cry about it. Once again, play along or move along.
