My take on true starters (not backups like Swing Tackle):

- 1 Technique DT

- Slot Corner (not convinced that Anthony Brown or Scandrick will man this position next year)

- WR (I think all 3 positions could be looked at, but for sure 1 WR job is open)

- LG

LB (Hitchens might not get resigned and Smith hasnt exactly shutting the door down there)

SS/FS (Byron was getting rotated, heath has like maybe 3 moments all season)

LG is only open if they do not bring Cooper back

Up for Grabs:
LB
WR1
WR2
Safety

What position to Draft in order of weighted importance.
LB
OT - Swing
WR
S

A good player could come in and grab a starting spot at:
S
CB
LB (maybe could only be 4th guy, depending on Hitch contract and Smith health)
DT
DE
LG

A great player could come in and start at any of those plus:
LB (no caveat)
RT (pushing Collins to LG)
TE (okay, probably wouldn't start, but could start to displace)
WR

Very few. 1tech probably most likely to get addressed. I suspect the starting line up with be much the same. The draft will add maybe future replacements who may very well beat someone out at some point but not game 1
Dak is gonna be the q.b
Dez most likely will be the 1
Twill will be the two
We may replace a butler with a draft pick
We may add a future starter at lb
We may add talent but very few positions will actually see a change at least early on

I want a new starting tight end. Witten should be released. He's a HOF warrior but his time is over, IMO.
Witten will be gone as soon as someone shows they can replace him. If that’s not Rico then it won’t happen next year
I think Rico will get a shot at showing he can be the man

These are set in stone. Everything else is up for grabs
Zeke
Witten
Tyron
Fred
Zack
La'el

Dlaw
Lee
Awuzie

- LG

The only way the #1 WR position will be open is if Dez is released. If he stays even at a lower salary he’s still going to hold down that position. Twill’s #2 position could be on the line. He had the lowest yardage total of his career and he didn’t register a TD for the first time. He continues to be inconsistent. Beasley’s slot position is safe, he’ll bounce back if we can move some of the coverage away from him. He’s still a valuable chain mover.
