Which tag for DLaw: exclusive or nonexclusive?

Not sure it would matter. Two first’s and a huge contract is a mighty high price to pay.
I don’t know the difference in price myself but don’t recall a franchised player being signed away

Contract, no tag.
That’s the ideal solution but also the riskiest. The right kind of deal for the team would be something that protects the team if the are more issues going forward. But most players don’t want a contract like that and that’s why I suspect he will get tagged. If you pay him market value and his back becomes an issue you are stuck for years
Dlaw doesn’t scare me as a player with best year being a contract year but I do have concerns with other issues with him and that’s why I would like to see another year before buying him for many years

I want to see a contract that isn't crazy, if not than the non exclusive tag will be enough to keep him.

If someone is willing to give us two firsts I’m biting

We know how to use firsts.. seconds not so much

So you develope players and when they actually develope into players you trade them and start over
Brilliant

The question is considering the health and other issues what’s is a reasonable contract
This is his chance to get set for life so he’s got a big incentive to go for top money and since his agent has his rep and check to consider he’s gonna want top money
Ideally a contract that allows him to earn top money but protects the team if he has issues going forward would be perfect. But as a player with a very limited career he like all players want all they can get as fast as they can get it. Don’t blame them but that’s what creates the risk

Yeah, the back. However, we only know a little about that. I'd think if they signed him to a competitive market rate contract, the medicals they have were probably a good sign.
