Denver for trading Cutler and ended up with a piss poor quarterback in Orton or Chicago for trading two first round draft picks and a 3rd round draft pick for a clearly over rated quarterback.

Tough question....

But where is the media slamming this trade? The 18th rated quarterback (who is doing worse than orton, who sucks), and they traded 2 1st and a 3rd....

Yet everyone wants to slam roy williams who is regardless of doubt or a few bad games, a proven commodity at wide receiver.

We traded a 1st and a 3rd, and a 5th I think. That 5th is a wash, as its going to be harder and harder to get on this team. The 1st is a wash because Roy Williams is talented receiver we could easily end up drafting in the first round. So really we traded a 3rd for his contract.

If you're going to slam this trade, at least wait until the value of that first round draft pick expires. Which is at least 3 years.

The Bears. Denver has enough draft picks that they could acquire someone better than Orton if need be, whereas Cutler definitely will be holding the Bears organization hostage for years if he doesn't pan out - similar to the Joey Galloway trade. The Bears are really a step away from the Gailey/Campo years that we saw in Dallas.

They have always been closer to the Campo/Gailey era then the Jimmy Era.

They've been competitive, though. Right now, they're dangerously close to being in the dregs of the league; I'm afraid Cutler is a little bit of a loose cannon on the field and I don't think he's coachable.

I think it's dumb trying to evaluate a trade so soon.
Give it a few years, then we'll be in better shape to say who's dumber.
Many called Houston dumb when it passed on Reggie Bush to take Mario Williams.
Now, it appears the Texans made the correct choice.
