Which was the greatest performance by a defensive unit in the Super Bowl?

In 69 the Jets , biggest underdogs in SB history 18 point underdog surrendered 7 points less than 275 yards . The 85 Bears were overwhelming favorites to crush the Patriots .

so what. Really dude, this thread is about the greatest defensive performances in SB history and the Jets were meh.
The Colts were not a huge offensive machine.
Not sure why you keep beating this very dead horse.

Not sure why you’re going in a tailspin over my choice . Like I said the Bears beat a mediocre Pats team they were Expected to Dominate . Jets were 18 point dogs going in gave up One lousy TD . Good job Weeb

You keep responding though as if my choice ruined your week . It will be ok really it will be . People have differences of opinion all the time without the tailspin . 18 point dogs gave up 7 points . Not too bad a day .

a dog of a SB as well
fairly boring
if that is your standard then I pity you

I can't argue with anyone that says Ravens or Bears. But there were some other epic beatdowns.

69 Jets held a heavily favored Colts to 226 yards and seven points . Not bad .
That was a very good Jets defense. But the Colts were moving the ball just fine early on. Some timely fumbles and picks bailed the Jets out. That built their confidence. Then they started playing like they believed they could win.

I do see where you're going with this. Holding a 13-1 juggernaut that averaged 28.7 points per game to only 7 is a mighty achievement. It could be considered the best performance like the thread title suggests. But people are voting on the most dominant.

2025 SB the Eagles had 24 points at half and the Chiefs had 23 yards.
Yes, but you can't arbitrarily judge at what point of a game on how to rate a defense's performance. At the end of the first half? At the end of the third quarter? At the end of the first quarter? After the first possession? When a defensive player came out of the game? That's why they play four quarters and all statistics go by the entire game.

I hear you .

02 Bucs. I know they had the answers to the test but they pretty much held a MVP QB and two future HOF in check until they went prevent almost all of the 4th qtr.
