So it's the slow part of the year and I was debating my friend on this question.

Would you take $10,000 right now knowing that the Cowboys would miss the playoffs the next 3 years? Or would you take a guarentee that the Cowboys would have a dynasty winning the SB 3 of the next 4 years with Romo and Co.?

And no, we will not put all of our money together into buying the Dallas Cowboys;)

discuss...

Only $10,000?!?!?!?

I'll take the dynasty, thanks.

Why is the dollar sign on the end of the money? Are you paying in pesos?

I would get more happiness out of the championships. Still would like to have the extra cash so that I could attend the game.:laugh2:

It's enough to make you think about it. 10k is still alot in todays age. especially to a college student:(

You're going to get a lot of varying answers here based on what kind of income people get, how desperate they may be for money, etc.

With that said (And I love the Cowboys, so please don't bother questioning that fact) I'll take the 10,000. My own personal well being and finances outweighs my favorite football team, sorry.

No need to apologize. While I may not be wealthy I'm not hurting but if I was I would take the money as well.

That's a no-brainer... I'd take the Super Bowls in a second.

I'd refuse the money for one Super Bowl, much less 3.

Wait... I take that back. I won't take the 10,000 bucks.

Instead, since I know we'll win the 3 of the next 4 I'll go out and put money into every betting pool/system I can that the Cowboys will win the SB each year for the next 3. Of course I'll stand to lose a little money one of those years.

$10,000 is a nice sum, but I bet many of us could make that extra $$ over three years in form of bonus, commission, overtime, part-time work.

But 3 out of 4 SB's? You would be so happy you would have forgotten about the Kobe tattoo you got while drunk!

Now if you make it $100,000 and Bob marries the hand puppet...welll.........

I do not live one nanosecond of my life for money which I do not earn myself.

A: Guarantee. Final answer.

You didn't win the Superbowls yourself :D

The SB wins.

As weird as this may sound, a championship is pretty close to priceless. There's no guarantee that the Cowboys will win another championship in any of our lifetimes. $10,000 is a nice chunk of change, but I'm a modest guy. I could live without it for the guarantee the Cowboys would win not one, but multiple championships.

Ya, that's a big part in this. You have to watch 3 more years of what happened last year:( . I probably couldn't take that. That's just me though.

I feel pretty much the same way. As much as I love watching the Cowboys win, and them winning 3 Superbowls in the next 4 years would be awesome, them playing well never comes before my family's well being and 10,000 could go toward a lot of good things for them right now.

So, yeah, I'd take the money and I wouldn't feel the least bit bad about it either.

Fair enough. Totally understand.

Interesting topic, I do not want to come off the wrong way, but I would not take the 10k deal. Having the Cowboys win 1 Superbowl is probably worth over 10k in itself, at least to me. When I factor in winning 3 out of 4 superbowls and weighing it against missing the playoffs completely for 3 season it becomes a no brainer.
