These are the kind of games that you have to win to make the playoffs.

BTW, Romo completed the third-best 4-game stretch of his career:

2007 wk 7-10

93 of 124 1,141 yds 12td 3int 125.1
2007 wk 10-13
97 of 134 1,099 yds 12td 3int 117.1
2011 wk 9-12
87 of 128 1,057 yards 10 td 2 int 112.7
2009 wk 11-14
100 of 148 1,262 yards 8td 0int 111.9

Not bad at all.

We're lucky to have a QB like Romo. Hopefully our secondary gets healthy and meshes at the right time, and Fiammetta can get back and contribute.

Yeah, we have another two weeks for these guys to finish healing before we need them back.

If we don't have a healthy team to play the Giants it's going to be TOUGH.

Amen to that brother.

and we did. Valid pts on Romo though: dude was NAILS in the second half...and then some

It was nice to see Romo bounce back. Been to many times where two INT's turn into 4-5 it seems.

...I would'nt call it whistling as much as tiptoeing...unfortunately they can't keep the skeletons buried...Romo keeps the offense and the team from sinking, but he is taking too many shots to make long yardage plays happen...Garrett continues to under utilize the running game...the secondary looks completely loss at times...this is not the stuff of playoff teams...third down interior rush is marginal and Ryan gambles too much for the level of the secondary...

...they have some scrap though...and a favorable schedule...if they can get the game at home against New York then they have a chance, assuming they take care of Arizona on the road...we should'nt kid ourselves as fans though...this is not a team that can hit the road and beat the likes of the conference heavyweights...not presently anyway...they have time to improve but there is just so many question marks...

...When the Cowboys were great, the running game was the staple of the team...I still don't see that and Garrett only contributes to the problem...a league leading rookie rusher with less than a full season under his belt is a special talent...his ypc demands that he be utilized more...Garrett won't do this and there is little to suggest that he ever will...as Romo's attempts creep up to and past 40, bad things will happen to the offense...Reid, Peyton, Belichick all have this problem with overuse of the passing game...you can't make a living out of throwing 40+ times a game week in and week out...

we need to rest up as many of our dinged up guys as we can vs Arizona. This sort of mini bye can really help us.

Intuitive post. I wonder if the Romo haters will take this into consideration the next time he has to take the team on his back and fails under the load.

I seriously doubt it. The haters sit by quietly for the moment- biding their time, just waiting.

Wow! What any of these 4 coaches would give to be a fly on the wall when you are talking football. They could learn so much. :laugh2:
This place confuses me sometimes. Do these people REALLY believe what they are writing?

Good game for the Boys. Love the combo of Romo and Murray. Those two complement each other very well.

I had no doubt we'd win the game on the last drive with those two in there

With the way we've been eeking out wins against lower level teams I'm not considering ANY game from here on out an easy gimme game. We can't afford to rest anyone vs the cardinals.

that drive where romo was 7 for 7 and got killed nearly every throw was just about the best scoring drive i've ever seen a qb engineer.

Great way to respond from two early mistakes. Romo was nails in the fourth quarter, as he has been just about the entire season.

Romo's a good enough quarterback to generate multiple lengthy playoff runs. There's no doubt about that in my mind. It's now just a matter of actually doing it, and no longer being a suddenly aging player who has yet reach his potential.

C'mon guys! Stop spitting out FACTS! I have read on here more times than not that Romo sucks and is even a disgrace to the Latino heritage!
:laugh2:

But we're not very good. Our offense isn't as potent as I'd like it to be. The line is fair, and the chemistry between Romo and our WR's is a work in progress. Our secondary hasn't been too good in a looooong time.

But we've got some excellent pieces to build a team with: Romo, Murray, Ware, Sean Lee, Tyron S. We need a few more top level/ Pro Bowl type players and we can be a truly great team again. Hopefully that will happen in the next year or two.

At the present, we're a one-and-done type team.

as of this date...sadly i agree.

when we get everyone back after 10 days maybe we can do something.

but yes..we are a few players away from being a great team..
